Fabric Sourcing Manager (specialized in Ladies items) will be responsible for developing, testing, and ensuring the quality of fabrics used in the retail industry. This role requires extensive knowledge of fabric properties, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques with profound sourcing abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
â˘Source fabric from local region & foreign
â˘Responsible for partnering with mills to provide a working vendor base that is reliable in quality, price & service.
â˘Negotiation of the development roll, salesman sample fabric delivery/costing/MOQ & update all relevant parties for flash costing.
â˘Strong analytical & organizational skills with interpersonal & communication skills.
â˘Apply business acumen to understand macro business impact of production issues.
â˘Work with designers, manufacturers, and suppliers to develop fabrics that meet specific requirements
â˘Test fabrics for quality, performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards
â˘Develop and implement new fabric technologies and manufacturing processes
â˘Identify and troubleshoot quality issues in fabrics
â˘Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.
â˘Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations.
â˘Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
â˘Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
â˘Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications:
â˘Bachelor's degree in textile science, engineering or a related field or completed graduation from any renowned university.
â˘Minimum 4 years experience in fabric sourcing & development specially in Bangladeshi retail brand.
â˘Good software skill , specially excel, familiar with multiple systems, charts & reports to share data.
â˘Strong knowledge of fabric properties, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques
â˘Experience with fabric testing equipment and procedures
â˘Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and develop solutions
â˘Excellent communication and collaboration skills
â˘Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
â˘Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
â˘Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
