لا يجب اعطاء مضادات حيوية عند حدوث dry socket الا في حالتين فقط
1) pus is oozing from the socket.
2) signs of systemic involvement like Lymph nodes enlargement.
Dry socket is not an infection .. antibiotics will not reach the socket due to decreased blood supply to that are .. so no justification for antiobiotics.
Treatment of dry socket is only : irrigation with placement of alveogel or whatever other material is available . NO ANTIBIOTICS ..
خلاصة الموضوع لا تعطي مضادات حيوية ابدا الا اذا كان في صديد من مكان الجرح او انتفاخ العقد الليمفاوية.
وهو ليس " انفيكشن لعدم تكون الخثرة " ..

PTERYGOID IMPLANT
Pterygoid implants have high success rates, similar bone loss levels to those of conventional implants, minimal complications and good acceptance by patients. Therefore, they constitute a reliable alternative for treating patients with atrophic posterior maxilla. Also, the bone density of the pterygoid process is always greater than the bone density of the maxillary tuberosity, and therefore, it should be the choice for implant anchoring in atrophic maxillae. This book gives an indept knowledge about the indications, procedures and complications related to pterygoid implants.

Surgical Approaches to the Facial Skeleton 2nd (second) Edition by Ellis, Edward, Zide, Michael F.
Featuring over 400 full-color surgical photographs and drawings, this text/atlas is a step-by-step guide to the surgical approaches used to expose the facial skeleton. The authors describe in detail the key anatomic structures and the technical aspects of each approach, so that the surgeon can safely gain access to the region of the craniofacial skeleton requiring surgery. This Second Edition includes full-color intraoperative photographs that complement the surgical drawings. Several new approaches have been added—the transconjunctival approach to the medial orbit, subtarsal approach to the internal orbit, Weber-Ferguson approach to the midface, and facial degloving approach to the midface.

Systems Orthodontics
From Clinical Reasoning to Computation, and Back
This book marks one of the first applications of the Medicine Network discipline to an everyday scenario. It explores situations where patients, often in adolescence, grapple with the decision of whether to commence a treatment, seeking insights into the more plausible future scenarios. Additionally, the specific feedback from biological systems in the human body serves as a potent metaphor for addressing various challenges in the field of Complex Systems.
