Over the weekend, members of Scotland's North East region came together in Forfar as part of a volunteer session at Forfar Loch Country Park, before enjoying a well earned pub lunch. Members came from Aberdeen and Dundee to help out litter picking and clearing away yet more plastic guards that had been left on the trees. This is all work that isn't going to get done by the local council so it falls to people who actually care enough to make things happen, to go out and do the work. Next month, we will be planting trees. The more, the merrier and the bigger an impact we can make.

Over the weekend we held a community politics workshop for members eager to start making a difference in their community. Attendees received a speech from the Chairman, Kenny Smith and presentations from Cllr Ant Burrows, Pete North and Alexandra Stacey on political guidance, campaign issues, and behavioural insights for local and national campaigning. This was followed by a Q&A session as well as an interactive interview techniques demonstration. The event was a great opportunity for new members to meet each other as well as the party leadership. On Monday evening, after the day’s work was done, dedicated activists from the London branch of the Homeland Party visited the Pakistani High Commission to deliver an important letter to the Ambassador. We urged the Ambassador to advocate for the remigration of their nationals, many of whom have been implicated in the horrific rape gangs. We also called on the Pakistani government, a nation already experienced in remigration policies, to support the Homeland Party's call for the remigration of offenders.
