The 2023-2026 “strategic plan” conceived by lesbian fire department chief #KristinCrowley places “embracing” DEI ideology and hiring as the third goal in its seven-goal plan, and ahead of “technological innovation.”
#DEI is also an obsession with the state’s water resources agency, and the city’s water department chief, Janisse Quiñones, earns almost $800,000 annually.💸

| 3 |  The House of Representatives passed H.R. 7511, the Laken Riley Act, on Tuesday, a bill named after a Georgia student slain by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela last year.
The bill mandates detention of migrants arrested for theft. The legislation reflects a renewed focus on border security by the Republican-led chamber, marking the first major legislative effort of the 119th Congress.
The bill passed with bipartisan support in a 264-159 vote, with 48 Democrats joining all House Republicans. The Senate, now under Republican control, is expected to consider the legislation later this week, potentially coinciding with what would have been Riley’s 23rd birthday.

| 7 |  According to think tank The Conference Board, the initial burst of enthusiasm by consumers following the election of Donald Trump in November has faded.
The Board’s “present situation” index — in which consumers are asked how they currently feel about their financial condition — dropped slightly in December. But its “expectations” index — which reflects consumers’ outlook over the next six months — plunged precipitously. It dropped 12.6 points to 81.1, where 80 is the threshold that often signals the start of a recession.

A real Mexican, that is — living in Mexico. And, yes, she’s disgusted with how migrants are changing her community. She’s not alone in her sentiment, either, which could be one reason Mexicans are enthusiastically sending migrant caravans our way. And this is another reason why we should build a wall, strong and tall, and deport them all. (And let the immigrationist lobby bawl.)
