MILITANT ZONE – ART CONTEST 2026 Militant Zone announces a new open contest for thematic artwork dedicated to #BulletCrownedKingReigns We invite designers, artists, and illustrators from around the world to submit their work — to compete for the prizes and to become part of future Militant Zone projects. Since the beginning, our goal has been to bring fresh energy into a scene that too often repeats itself. Visual language matters — in artwork, in merchandise, in everything we put forward. This contest is a way to find and support artists who share that vision. $3000 prize pool: 1st — $1000 2nd — $500 3rd — $250 each Deadline: December 21, 2026 Submissions: shop@militant.zone Who can participate? Anyone — professionals and amateurs alike: graphic designers, painters, illustrators, and graffiti artists. What is the theme? The central figure remains the Dead King — crowned with a bullet crown. Participants are free to reinterpret this image while preserving key elements: skull, bullet crown, burning gaze. You may also explore related figures and ideas: the Nekrokrator, the King-asleep-in-the-mountain, and themes of war and legacy. Broader themes may include northern mythology and symbolic imagery: Irminsul, drakkars, Wotan, WJ and other elements. What formats are accepted? Digital artwork is preferred (raster or vector), but any medium is allowed — including traditional techniques and graffiti. The use of AI tools is welcome — especially when combined with strong artistic direction and design skills. We value authorship, composition, and the ability to shape a clear visual result. M8L8TH - Guardian of the Forest (single, 2003-2026) The track, having passed through 23 years of the band’s history, now appears before you in its finished form. The first version of the song was recorded in 2003 on a demo album, but almost immediately after the recording the track was supplemented with new lines and lengthened. Then, in 2004 and 2009, two full-length albums were released, and the musicians decided to re-record this track for a split. But part of the lyrics created for the track in 2003–2004 did not make it there, and was supplemented with new fragments that Alexey sent from prison. After his release, naturally, it was decided to finally complete the track in its most finished form. And here it is before you, as a space for immersion into the space between darkness and emptiness, in the halls of the mystical night. The track "Guardian of the Forest" is a chronicle of M8l8th history, stretched across 23 years, from the first rehearsals in the spring of 2003 in the underground rehearsal base "Wolf’s Lair" in Tver to the military spring of 2026, in glorious and mighty Kyiv, at the studio "Kvasir’s Cauldron". At night the forest keeps its peace, the fire lit by the wise hand of the Guardian of the Forest of ancient Rus, which does not allow it to go out...
