Microsoft EDGE is moving to Google's Chromium Engine and is also coming to MacOS Microsoft has officially confirmed that its struggling Edge web browser will be rebuilt on Google's Chromium rendering engine, which is the same code that Chrome browser uses. Until now, Microsoft had been using its proprietary browser engine, EdgeHTML, which was praised for its performance in some areas, but also brought frustration to web developers due to compatibility issues. With only a select number of users using Edge, developers also often did not bother about making their code compatible with the browser.

♠️How to Protect Yourself from Keylogger Attacks♠️ And that's how easy it is for hackers to see and record every keystroke you press on your computer. When a hacker has an unnoticed backdoor on your computer, anything is possible, but there are a few things you can do to minimize the risk of having your keys captured: 🔸Use antivirus software. While there's not a catch-all solution, and antivirus software won't protect against sophisticated and cutting-edge keyloggers, there's still no excuse for not using antivirus software which protects against most known keylogger software. 🔸Use on-screen keyboards when entering passwords. One of the limitations of most keyloggers is that they only capture actual keystrokes being pressed on the keyboard. The Windows on-screen keyboard will provide a virtual keyboard that may help circumvent keyloggers. 🔸Use a firewall. It's possible lazy attackers won't go through the effort of disguising their payloads to appear as being normal DNS (port 53) or HTTP (port 80) transmissions. A firewall might catch suspicious packets leaving your computer on port 35357. 🔸Protect your computer against backdoors. While all of the above is helpful when you're already backdoored, the best thing to do is make sure you're not exploited in the first place.

♠️What is Buffer Overflow?♠️ Dominating network penetration areas, buffer overflow has been a common security vulnerability in the past decade. Subverting a privileged program’s function and taking control of the same is the invading strategy behind this technique. In a broad spectrum, Buffer Overrun or Buffer Overflow is a flaw that occurs when a program writes more information into the buffer block than it is permitted to hold. Subsequently, the buffer’s boundaries are overrun, overwriting the adjacent memory blocks with corrupt values due to inadequate bounds checking. As a consequence, it allows an anonymous Internet user to execute his own code instead of the program code, thus partially or completely hijacking control of the host machine.

❤️SplitSpectre – New Spectre-like Vulnerability Ready To Hit CPUs❤️ While the chaotic Spectre vulnerability keeps coming back, another vulnerability has now come up to trouble users. Termed SplitSpectre, the recently discovered vulnerability could allow an attacker for speculative execution attacks. SplitSpectre – Another Spectre Variant Discovered After Foreshadow and other Spectre-like flaws, another Spectre variant has come to haunt users. This time, it is the SplitSpectre vulnerability that is even more dangerous. The vulnerability could allow an attacker to target a victim’s system by exploiting the speculative execution function of microprocessors. The researchers from Northeastern University and IBM Research have published their findings in a detailed research paper. As stated in their paper, SplitSpectre seems a Spectre v1 variant. The difference, however, lies in the way it executes. It requires a small chunk of vulnerable code on the victim’s machine, without requiring the attacker to have an own malicious code. 🔰What is SSL?🔰 In layman’s terms it is the an algorithm that encrypts a message between a receiver and sender to help avoid the message being read by an attacker should it be intercepted in transmission, for example a website that uses HTTP as opposed to HTTPS offers no protection from an attacker intercepting credentials from the network. For a website to be able to support SSL, it requires an SSL certificate.

US Indicts Iranian Hackers Responsible for Deploying 'SamSam' Ransomware Two Iranian computer hackers were charged Wednesday in connection with a multimillion-dollar cybercrime and extortion scheme that targeted government agencies, cities and businesses, the Justice Department said. "SamSam ransomware is a dangerous escalation of cybercrime," said Craig Carpenito, the US attorney for New Jersey, where Wednesday's indictment was unsealed. "This is a new type of cybercriminal. Money is not their sole objective. They are seeking to harm our institutions and our critical infrastructure." The Justice Department would not say whether any of the municipalities paid the ransom. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in April that Atlanta entered into emergency contracts worth $2.7 million to help restore the city's computer network after the attack

🔶Password Cracking Tools🔶 Hashcat – Used to crack hashes. Password cracking tool can also used for recovering passwords, reviewing password security, benchmarking, and/or identifying data in a hash. JTR – John The Ripper is a great tool customising password attacks, we recommend using the Jumbo add on. Aircrack-ng – A tool tailored for hacking wireless networks. The most poplar tool for WiFi penetration testing.

♠️Web scraping♠️ When a hacker has identified a vulnerability in a system or platform he can choose to either report it (white hat hacker) or scan more systems with the same security hole. One way to do this is “Web scraping” which means scanning a website for specific areas and/or extracting that information. Web scraping a website can be compared with an anti virus software – which archives virus signatures and then using them to identify malicious software on the server, computer or phone.

🔰Understanding Proxies & Combo Lists + Resources To Start Cracking Today! »Why are proxies important: Proxies are important because without them, you’d be limited on how many attempts you can make while checking passwords. This isn’t the case for ALL sites but for sites with a check limit, you will need to get some proxies if you expect to check a significant amount of lines. »Different types of proxies: There are three different main types of proxies that you’ll need to understand the difference between and those are HTTP, SOCKS and SOCKS5. I will give a quick explanation about the differences -HTTP Proxies: HTTP Proxy routes HTTP requests from a Web browser to the Internet, while supporting the caching of Internet data and these proxies can be split into 3 categories: Transparent, Anonymous, Elite. I’ll quickly give you a basic understanding of each. -Transparent HTTP Proxies: As the name suggests, these proxies will show pretty much everything that you don’t want shown while cracking, such as your real IP address and other personal information. While these proxies WILL work, it’s suggested to avoid them for obvious reasons. You may feel more comfortable using transparent proxies if your machine is already connected to a VPN but otherwise, just avoid using them when possible. -Anonymous HTTP Proxies: While these proxies will keep your local information anonymous like the name suggests, the website you are checking will be informed that you are using a proxy so sometimes these won’t work on sites with higher levels of security. -Elite HTTP Proxies: These proxies are what you are going to want to focus on the most since they not only protect your local identity, but they also tell the site you are checking that it’s a real IP that is visiting instead of pointing out that you are behind a proxy. While these are the best option to use for cracking, they are also the hardest to find for free. »SOCKS Proxies: A SOCKS proxy is a general-purpose proxy, that establishes a TCP connection to another server on behalf of your machine and then routes all the traffic back and forth between your machine and the server. There are two types of SOCKS proxies and those are SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 which I will now cover in short detail like I did for HTTP. -SOCKS4 or SOCKS Level 4: This level of socks only supports TCP application and while these proxies work OK for most sites, it’s just best practice to hunt down SOCKS5 lists to use, over SOCKS4 due to their extended range of uses. -SOCKS5 or SOCKS Level 5: SOCKS5 proxies will support all the grounds socks4 supports but because of the fact that SOCKS5 also supports other authentication methods and domain name resolution, these are the proxies that you are going to want the most of when you can get them. »Difference between Paid / Public Proxies: The main difference between paid and free proxies is that with paid proxies you are getting higher-quality proxies that aren’t being used by everyone else. By having higher quality proxies, you’ll typically have much faster checks per minute (CPM). If you decide to go with free proxies, there is a chance that you’ll end up using proxies that have already been banned by a site and you’ll either end up with a bunch of retries, or false misses on accounts that would have been valid if you used a better proxy list. »Rotating Vs Non-Rotating: Once you get into paid proxies, you’ll come across a time when you debate on whether you want to buy rotating proxies, or just regular proxies. As the name suggest, rotating proxies will rotate to different IPs at a set interval or on every request. These are GREAT for sites that have harsh check limits or that ban IPs that have made too many checks. Something to consider when buying rotating proxies is if the tool you are using or not actually supports rotating proxies or not. This is something that you should ask the developer of the tool about if it’s not publicly listed in any support documents offered. Tools That I’ve Used Rotating Proxies Without Any Issues
