﷽  Taqwā: The key to success وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ﴿٦١﴾ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ ﴿٦٢﴾ لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾ And Allāh will deliver those who observe Taqwā to their places of success. Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. {61} Allāh is the Creator of all things, and He is the Wakīl over all things. {62} To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And those who disbelieve in the Āyāt of Allāh, such are they who will be the losers. 📘 Sūrah Az-Zumar [39] ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ #Religion, #Politics, #Identity, #Society, #History, #Relationships, #Attitudes, #Ji_hadun_Nafs You can also follow us at: 🔗 Ji_hādun-Nafs: @JihadunNafs 🔗 Shu'ayb's Pen: https://t.me/+sYr0q4rsuVVlMzBk ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈Shu'ayb bn. This part of the Hadīth indicates that this believer leads a life of complete servitude to Allāh and is always ready to respond to His call. And when that call is made, he doesn't hesitate to respond to it, thus adhering to the principle of Fiqh that states, "Commands are to be implemented right away". It also indicates that a sincere desire to attain Shahādah is expressed by pursuing the means to achieve the aim. For example, this believer is described as "flying" on the back of his horse to the "place where it is expected" he can either kill the enemy and be killed. 📋 Yes, I'm saying that yearning for Shahādah is not a mere wish, you must pursue the means and strive to be in the places where it is likely or possible to be achieved. ▪️Imām An-Nawawī says: (( كُلَّمَا سَمِعَ هَيْعَةً )) الصوت عند حضور العدو "[Whenever he hears a fearful shriek], (meaning) the sound of the enemy's presence." He further stated: ومعنى (( يَبْتَغِي الْقَتْلَ مَظَانَّهُ )) يطلبه في مواطنه التي يرجى فيها لشدة رغبته في الشهادة "And the meaning of [seeking death at the places where it can be expected], is he searches for it in its places where it is expected to be (attained) due to his strong desire for Shahādah." 📖 Al-Minhāj Sharh Sahīh Muslim bn. Al-Hajjāj (vol.5, part.13, pg.35), Dār Ibn Hazm ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 📋 This reminds me of another Hadīth, can you guess which one? - Answer in next post, Inshā’Allāh. ✍️ Shu'ayb bn. 📖 Fiqh of Jihād Understanding The Obligation - by Ustādh ‘Abdullāh Ash-Shaybānī Ji_hādun-Nafs is an individual’s personal struggle against those internal obstacles that hinder him or her from being the best that he or she can be, and that inevitably affect one's relationship with Allāh the Exalted. Al-Ji_hād bin-Nafs, on the other hand, is the physical participation in military operations against the external enemies of Islām and the transgressors from among the Muslims. The focus of this discussion, as stated previously, is Ji_hādun-Nafs. For a discussion on al-Ji_hād bin-Nafs, then download the attached PDF file in which this topic is addressed. #Weaknesses, #Strengths, #Character, #Optimism, #Pessimism, #Attitudes, #Obedience, #Sins, #Ji_hadunNafs, #PurificationOfTheNafs, #Tawbah, #SelfReform, #SelfControl, #Sabr ✍️ Shu'ayb bn. I'm being sincere with you. Just take a step in the cause of Allāh the Exalted and see how quickly you feel light and free. It's as if you've just put down a great burden that has been weighing you down all your life. The Hadīth cited in the last post indicates this. In fact, there are many things about this Hadīth that are truly profound. For example, his ﷺ statement: ... كُلَّمَا سَمِعَ هَيْعَةً أَوْ فَزْعَةً طَارَ عَلَيْهِ يَبْتَغِي الْقَتْلَ وَالْمَوْتَ مَظَانَّهُ “... Whenever he hears a fearful shriek, or a call for help, he flies on it seeking death at the places where it can be expected.” 📘 Sahīh Muslim 1889 ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 📋 What is so profound about this statement? - Answer in next post, Inshā’Allāh. ✍️ Shu'ayb bn.
