IN ACTION: A total of 36 youths from Levels 6 to 9 went into the surrounding neighbourhoods on 4 November to invite residents to attend BSC’s Sponsor-A-Meal outreach event.
Together with the catechists as their chaperones, they went around Stirling Road, Mei Ling Street and Commonwealth Crescent.
It was an eye opening experience for many of them and this is the first of the many opportunities to come for them to be the light of Christ to the community.
The outreach event will be held on 18 November at 12pm, kicking off the Threefold Celebration on the first day of the 8-day long festivity. Look out for more updates of the actual event in this space!

The two Chinese martyrs are St Jerome Lu Tingmei of Maokou and St Joseph Zhang Wenlan of Qingyanzhen.
St Jerome was one of three catechists who were killed on 28 January 1858 by order of the officials in Maokou, Guizhou province, China.
St Joseph was a seminarian in Qingyanzhen, also in Guizhou. He was one of four people - two seminarians, a farmer, and a widow who worked as a cook in the seminary - who were martyred on 29 July 1861.

We were delighted this Mission Sunday to see a familiar face, Rev Fr Remi Liando, SSCC who delivered a weekend worth of homilies for us on his personal journey of mission work ❣️
In Fr Remi’s words, “Never be afraid of mission, as our Gospel did not come in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction. After 16 years of mission abroad, I can say that the missionary cross is real, but so is the joy of walking and working side by side with the Lord.”
JOIN A MINISTRY IN BSC!
As we reopen our newly restored main church, we invite you to be a part of our work of spiritual and pastoral restoration in BSC by serving in various capacities. As scripture (Mt 9:37-38) says, the harvest is plenty but the labourers are few. So we pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into the mission fields!
