A threβ¦","articleBody":"https://darkatlas.io/blog/identity-reveal-the-threat-actor-behind-onnx-store-and-caffeine-phishing-kit\n\nA threat actor known as \"MrxC0der\" was identified through a series of operational security (OPSEC) failures. The investigation began with his publicly shared phishing kits and malware. Key clues included:\n\nβΆοΈA PC username (MrxC0der-EG) found in a malware sample's debugging artifacts, suggesting an Egyptian connection.\nβΆοΈThis username was then found in a database of stolen data (stealer logs) from an infected machine, confirming the Egyptian country code.\nβΆοΈThe same username was used to deface a website on Zone-H, which led to a domain registration traced back to Egypt.\nβΆοΈFinally, investigators cross-referenced the username in a Facebook data breach, revealing his full identity, email, and physical address by matching the unique \"MrxC0der\" alias to his real personal information.\n\nβοΈ Key Takeaway\n\nOperation security is critical. This case demonstrates how a single reused username can become a digital fingerprint, allowing investigators to connect activity across multiple platforms (GitHub, malware analysis, stealer logs, hacktivist sites, and social media) and leverage data breaches to de-anonymize a threat actor completely. To avoid such exposure, unique identifiers and strict personal information hygiene are essential.","datePublished":"2025-08-22T14:12:23Z","dateModified":"2025-08-22T14:12:23Z","author":{"@type":"Organization","name":"βοΈ { ππ ππ―π©π’π±π±π'π° ππ¬π²π«π€π’ } βοΈ","url":"https://telemetr.io/en/channels/1154385673-tutorials_zone","image":"https://img.tlmtr.io/c/1g7GrL/5354785785670382513?ty=x"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"βοΈ { ππ ππ―π©π’π±π±π'π° ππ¬π²π«π€π’ } βοΈ","url":"https://telemetr.io/en/channels/1154385673-tutorials_zone","image":"https://img.tlmtr.io/c/1g7GrL/5354785785670382513?ty=x"},"commentCount":1,"interactionStatistic":[{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/ViewAction","userInteractionCount":2632},{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/ShareAction","userInteractionCount":27},{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":1}],"sharedContent":{"@type":"SocialMediaPosting","datePublished":"2025-08-22T13:52:01Z"}}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":15,"item":{"@type":"SocialMediaPosting","@id":"https://telemetr.io/en/channels/1154385673-tutorials_zone/posts/12588","url":"https://telemetr.io/en/channels/1154385673-tutorials_zone/posts/12588","mainEntityOfPage":"https://telemetr.io/en/channels/1154385673-tutorials_zone/posts/12588","headline":"π Jolly Rogerβs Security Guide for Beginners (2014) π Secure Communication: Tor, HTTPS, SSL basics π‘ Encryptiβ¦","articleBody":"π Jolly Rogerβs Security Guide for Beginners (2014)\n\nπ Secure Communication: Tor, HTTPS, SSL basics\nπ‘ Encryption & Tools: PGP, Tails, Virtual Box, disk encryption, file shredding\nπ Online Safety: JavaScript vulnerabilities, EXIF data, tracking cookies, safe browsing\nβοΈ Legal & OPSEC: Retaining a lawyer, handling interrogations, learning from othersβ mistakes (Sabu, LulzSec, DPR)\nβΏ Bitcoin Anonymity: Obtaining & using Bitcoin securely, LocalBitcoins risks\nπ΅οΈββοΈ Advanced Privacy: Combining Tor with VPNs, hiding Tor from ISPs, verifying files, NSA capabilities\nπ Threats & Scams: Malware, fraudulent messages, cold boot attacks, scam emails\nπΎ Data Protection: Backing up encrypted drives, deniability, password security\n\n\nβοΈRemember: The guide was written in 2014. βοΈ Using Whoer.net for Country detection
Recently i inspected again a country detector script of whoer.net:
https://whoer.net/js/myCountry.js?1756228747
βΆοΈAnd i thought: What if we use this for country locks on Redirector scripts. So i rewrite it a bit and now we can use it. All you need to do is to embed the script on your PHP or HTML file.
βΆοΈYou can also remove the direct call and call it on your PHP or HTML page. But embedding it will directly call the
CountryDetector-class. You can setup your destination URL on "REDIRECT" in the CONFIG variable and the "LANDING" (where locked country land at). SUPPORTED_LOCALES are the country codes that are allowed to access.
βΆοΈWe used localStorage to avoid redirect loops and purely client side support.
βΆοΈThere can be added an API request or Telegram reporting, it's up to you. For paid coding requests, dm @scarlettaowner.
It would be recommended to minify your JS:

Repost from ViperZCrew [ARCHIV] [2025]
https://darkatlas.io/blog/identity-reveal-the-threat-actor-behind-onnx-store-and-caffeine-phishing-kit
A threat actor known as "MrxC0der" was identified through a series of operational security (OPSEC) failures. The investigation began with his publicly shared phishing kits and malware. Key clues included:
βΆοΈA PC username (MrxC0der-EG) found in a malware sample's debugging artifacts, suggesting an Egyptian connection.
βΆοΈThis username was then found in a database of stolen data (stealer logs) from an infected machine, confirming the Egyptian country code.
βΆοΈThe same username was used to deface a website on Zone-H, which led to a domain registration traced back to Egypt.
βΆοΈFinally, investigators cross-referenced the username in a Facebook data breach, revealing his full identity, email, and physical address by matching the unique "MrxC0der" alias to his real personal information.
βοΈ Key Takeaway
Operation security is critical. This case demonstrates how a single reused username can become a digital fingerprint, allowing investigators to connect activity across multiple platforms (GitHub, malware analysis, stealer logs, hacktivist sites, and social media) and leverage data breaches to de-anonymize a threat actor completely. To avoid such exposure, unique identifiers and strict personal information hygiene are essential.

π’Why VPNs Fail as a Carderβs Shield - and What This Teaches Defenders π’
VPNs get hyped everywhere. Marketing paints them as digital invisibility cloaks, but in the world of fraud, theyβre more of a liability than a shield. Understanding why matters for defenders.
π―How Fraudsters Misuse VPNs
In the early 2000s, VPNs briefly worked for carding because detection systems were less advanced. Merchants faced a crude choice:
π―Block VPN users and risk rejecting legitimate customers
π―Or allow them and absorb occasional fraud losses
Today, that landscape is gone. Anti-fraud systems analyze dozens of signals: device fingerprinting, behavioral patterns, IP reputation. And thatβs where VPNs betray fraudsters:
π―Shared, noisy IPs: Cloud-hosted VPN addresses are already flagged from overuse.
π―Leaky protocols: WebRTC, DNS, and IPv6 leaks often reveal the userβs true IP.
π―Provider trust issues: Many βno-logβ claims collapse under legal pressure β cases like HideMyAss and PureVPN show logs have led directly to arrests.
In short, VPN users stand out. And in fraud, standing out is deadly.
π―Why Fraudsters Shift to Residential Proxies
Instead of VPNs, carders chase residential proxies - IPs tied to real consumer devices. The logic is simple:
π―Transactions look like they come from an ordinary home user.
π―Location matches can be tuned to align with stolen cardholder data.
π―Traffic blends into the crowd instead of waving a red flag.
This mimicry is what makes detection a cat-and-mouse game. For defenders, recognizing the difference between legitimate residential traffic and proxy abuse is critical.
π―The False Security Trap
Beyond the technical flaws, the biggest danger of VPNs is complacency. Fraudsters who think "VPN = invincibility" cut corners in OPSEC - reusing servers, mixing personal and illicit logins, leaving trails that investigators can follow. Real arrests confirm this pattern.
π―Takeaway for Cyber Defenders
Fraudsters constantly adapt, but their mistakes reveal opportunities:
π―VPN traffic is easier to detect and correlate - and remains a weak point for bad actors.
π―Behavioral analytics, device fingerprinting, and anomaly detection are what force criminals to abandon outdated tools.
π―Most importantly: fraudstersβ overconfidence in βone magic toolβ is what trips them up.
Lesson: Just as attackers must stack multiple layers to stay hidden, defenders must layer detection and never rely on a single signal. VPN hype may fool consumers and fraudsters alike, but it doesnβt fool a mature fraud detection system.
Stay sharp. Study how tools fail - because thatβs where the cracks in criminal operations appear first.
