#گرامر، قسمت چهل و دوم: افعال مدال، بخش ششم. کاربرد های would: کلمه would در جمله ها می تواند به هفت صورت به کار برده شود: ۱. در جملات سوالی برای ارائه یا پیشنهاد کردن چیزی به دیگران: Would you like a cup of tea? ۲. درخواست های رسمی و مودبانه: I would like some salad, please. Would you mind telling me the time? : (would you mind + verb+ ing) >>> روشی بسیار موادبانه برای درخواست کردن چیزی ۳. جمله های آرزویی، فرضی یا خیالی (جملات شرطی): If I won a lot of money, I would give some of it to charity. ۴. چیزی که در گذشته باید انجام می شده و در زمان حال انجام آن دیر شده است (جملات شرطی). If we had taken a taxi, we wouldn't have missed the plane. ۵. کاری که در گذشته مرتبا تکرار شده: Every year we would go to Hawaii for holidays. My mother wouldn't walk us to school when we were kids. نکته: در مورد فعل هایی که تکرار پذیر هستند این مورد صدق می کند. برای مثال جمله I would live in a small flat with my friends when I was a student. صحیح نیست زیرا فعل live یک حالت و وضعیت است نه انجام یک کار. ۶. برای ارجحیت دادن چیزی به چیز دیگر (rather or sooner + than): I would rather drink tea than coffee in the afternoons. ۷. به عنوان زمان گذشته will در نقل قول ها : He said he would clean the kitchen! (but he has not done it yet). My friend said she would call me. **نکته: فعل کمکی یا مدال would بسته به نوع جمله و طرز قرار گیری آن در جمله در هر سه زمان گذشته، حال و آینده به کار می رود: Past: I asked them to change my ticket, but they wouldn't do anything. Present: Would you pass me that blue bag? Future: I would come tomorrow, but I've already made other plans. @uoklanguage

#اشتباهات_رایج_در_زبان_انگلیسی، شماره ۱۶. کلمه های grow و grow up معمولا به صورت اشتباه در جمله ها به کار برده می شوند. دو نکته در مورد استفاده از grow up باید در نظر گرفته شوند: ۱. این کلمه معمولا برای بیان بزرگ شدن یک کودک و تبدیل شدن آن به یک بزرگسال(در مورد انسان) به کار می رود. When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. ۲. جمله هایی که این کلمه در آن ها به کار می رود مفعول ندارند. برای مثال جمله I grew up my children in England اشتباه است. کلمه grow کاربردهای بیشتری دارد. به عنوان مثال برای رشد کردن یا پرورش دادن کلمه هایی مانند plant, beard, people, hair, city و غیره به کار می رود (هم جمله هایی که نیاز به مفعول دارند و هم جمله هایی که نیاز به مفعول ندارند). چند مثال: The plant grew. (این جمله مفعول ندارد) My father grew a beard. (این جمله مفعول دارد) I have decided to grow my hair. @uoklanguage

#کلمات_همنشین، شماره ۱۳. قید "deeply" 1. Deeply affected: عمیقا / بشدت تحت تاثیر قرار گرفتن The train system has been deeply affected. سیستم قطار بشدت تحت تاثیر قرار گرفته است. 2. Deeply ashamed: عمیقا شرمنده بودن از چیزی I am deeply ashamed of what I have done. از کاری که کرده ام خیلی شرمنده هستم. 3. Deeply committed: با دل و جان مایه گذاشتن It was a deeply committed performance. اجرای خالصانه ای بود. 4. Deeply happy: از ته قلب خوشحال I was deeply happy. بسیار خوشحال شدم. 5. Deeply worried: بسیار نگران This has made many executives deeply worried. این موضوع بسیاری از مدیران را نگران کرده است. 6. Deeply regret: بسیار پشیمان I deeply regret my comment. از ابراز عقیده ام بسیار پشیمانم. 7. Deeply divided: شکاف عمیق The issue has created a deeply divided nation. این مساله شکاف عمیقی در آحاد ملت ایجاد کرده است. 8. Deeply competitive: بسیار مصمم He is deeply competitive and quite motivated. او بسیار مصمم و کاملا با انگیزه است. @uoklanguage
