🚨🇮🇷🤝🇦🇫 - Iran Praises Taliban Decision on Bagram Airbase. Alireza Bikdeli, Iran’s ambassador to Afghanistan, thanked the Taliban leadership for not handing over Bagram Airbase to the United States. In an interview with Shamshad TV, he said a U.S. base there could have led to conflict between Iran and Afghanistan. Bikdeli said the Taliban’s refusal is based on religious beliefs and the Islamic principle that Muslims should not assist non-Muslims in attacking other Muslims. 🔃 In 2025, the Trump administration was negotiating with the Taliban to hand over Bagram airbase in exchange for financial aid and sanctions relief. However, Kabul declined the offer.
