CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis Tweets: Strengthening Connectivity to Power Pune’s Industrial Growth Chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure. Infrastructure projects in Pune district are set to significantly accelerate industrial growth in the region. To ease traffic congestion in and around Pune city, the timely development of highway projects is essential. Directed to focus on expanding and strengthening the highway network to ensure efficient transportation across the state. Approval has been accorded to upgrade the Talegaon–Chakan (NH-548D) corridor in Pune district. The project will cover the 0–26 km stretch with a 4-lane elevated and 4-lane at-grade highway, and the 26–43 km stretch from Chakan to Shikrapur with a 4-lane at-grade highway, to be executed under the DFBOT (Design, Finance, Build, Operate and Transfer) model. Upon completion, this highway project will significantly ease traffic congestion in the Chakan industrial area, improving mobility and supporting industrial efficiency. Ordered to complete the work within the stipulated timeline with high quality standards.
