THE LORD OF RAMADĀN IS THE LORD OF SHAWWĀL, SHA'BĀN AND THE REST OF THE MONTHS
The blessed month of Ramadān is a great season to accustom oneself to righteousness, being diligent in the worship of Allāh and competing to perform good deeds. It is abhorrent for the Muslim to forsake worship once this month has finished, as is the state of some people who do not know Allāh nor the worship of Him except in Ramadān.
It is said to these people:
O you who knew in Ramadān that you had a Lord, whom you worshipped, obeyed, feared and placed your hope, how could you forget Him after Ramadān?
O you who knew that Allāh made it obligatory upon you to pray five prayers in the Masjid, how can you be ignorant of this or feign ignorance after Ramadān?
O you who knew in Ramadān that Allāh forbade you from all acts of disobedience, how can you forget this after Ramadān?
O you who knew in Ramadān that in front of you there is Paradise, the Hellfire, a reward and a punishment, how can you be heedless of this after Ramadān?
O you who used to fill the Masājid in Ramadān and recite the Qur'ān, how have you forsaken the Masājid and abandoned the Qur'ān after Ramadān?
How strange is it that a people do not know Allāh except in Ramadān, and do not fear Allāh except in Ramadān.
Some of the Salaf were asked about the condition of a people who were like this, and they responded:
"How evil is a people who do not know Allāh except in Ramadān."
Verily, the Lord of the months is One; the Lord of Ramadān is the Lord of Shawwāl, Sha'bān and the rest of the months. It is obligatory upon the Muslim to worship Allāh and desist from disobeying Him at all times and moments.

P. 278, 279Ibn Rajab said (in Latā’if al Ma’ārif ) that the springtime reminds one of Paradise.
The combination of perfect weather and happy families celebrating ‘Eid together, eating, drinking, laughing and enjoying each other’s company on such an occasion is an amazing experience.

Congratulations On ‘E’īd
Question: A brother from Washington asks: 'People congratulate one another on the Day of ‘E’īd by saying: 'Taqaballa Allahu Mina Wa Minkum Al-‘Amal Al-Saliha [may Allah accept from you and us the good deeds].' Is it not better to ask Allah to accept all our deeds? Is there any particular supplication to mention on such an occasion?'
Shaykh ‘Abd Al-‘Azeez Ibn Bāz [رحمه الله] Answer:
❝It is permissible for a Muslim to say to their fellow Muslim on the Day of ‘E’īd or on other days: 'May Allah accept from you and us the good deeds.' I do not know any particular supplication for that occasion, but the believers have to supplicate for one another with good supplications as encouraged by many pieces of evidence reported in this regard. May Allah grant us success.❞

Reflections on the Day of ‘Eid Over the Blessed Month Which Has Passed
Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) said:
“Some of the Salaf stated that they would supplicate to Allaah for six months that He should cause them to reach the month of Ramadhaan. Thereafter they would supplicate to Allaah for six months (asking) that He accepts it from them.
‘Umar bin ‘Abdil-‘Azeez (rahimahullaah) came out on the day of ‘Eidul Fitr and he said in his sermon: ‘O people; you have indeed fasted thirty days for Allaah, and stood (in prayer) for thirty nights, and today you have come out seeking from Allaah that He should accept it from you.’
Regarding some of the Salaf, then sadness would appear on them on the day of ‘Eidul Fitr, so it would be said to him: ‘it is a day of delight and happiness.’ So he would say: ‘you have spoken truthfully, however I am a servant, my Lord commanded me that I should carry out actions for Him, so I do not know; as to whether He will accept them from me or not.’
Wahab bin al-Ward saw a people laughing on the day of ‘Eid, so he said: ‘If these (people) have had their fasting accepted from them; then this is not the action of the grateful ones, and if their fasting has not been accepted from them, then this is not the action of the fearful ones.’
Al-Hasan (Al-Basree) said: ‘Indeed Allaah has made the month of Ramadhaan as a training course for His creation, they contest within it by way of obedience to (attaining) His pleasure, so a people preceded and were successful, whilst others stayed behind and were unsuccessful.’
What has escaped for the one for whom there has escaped the good of Ramadhaan❓
And what is stood to be achieved for the one who within it achieved deprivation❓
How much is there between the one whose portion within it was: acceptance and forgiveness, and the one whose portion within it was: failure and loss❓
Perhaps the one who stood (in prayer) – his share from his standing was mere sleeplessness, and the one who fasted – his share from his fasting was mere hunger and thirst.”
