[The results of fornication]
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Ibn al-Qayyim – may Allaah have mercy upon him – said:
Fornication leads to severing of family ties, disobedience towards parents, impermissible earnings, oppressing the creation and loss of one’s wife and dependents, and it may lead to shedding of blood that is not permissible to shed, or seeking help by means of witchcraft and shirk, whether he realizes it or not.
This sin can only be committed if it is accompanied by other sins, beforehand or along with it, and it gives birth to other sins that come after it. It is surrounded by a legion of sins that come before it and after it, and it is the action that brings the most evil in this world and in the Hereafter and prevents the most goodness in this world and in the Hereafter.
Once a person falls into the trap of this sin, it becomes difficult for advisors to save him, the medicine of the doctors is incapable of curing him, the one who it enslaved is not ransomed, and the one who it murders is not slain. The blessings of Allah will depart from him. Anyone who commits this sin may bid farewell to the blessings of Allah. It is a guest that is quick to depart.
Allah the Exalted said: “That is so because Allah will never change a grace which He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in their ownselves. And verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All‑Knower” (Soorah al-Anfaal 8:53)
Allah the Exalted said: “But when Allah wills a people’s punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector” (Soorah al-Ra’d 13:11)

KNOWLEDGE BEFORE STATEMENT AND ACTION
The one among you who has placed herself as a caller must fear Allāh the Exalted concerning her da'wah and adorn herself with the manners of the one who calls to Allāh. She must have patience with those who oppose her, and likewise with the ignorant. And before that, she must arm herself with the weapon of knowledge concerning the matters she wishes to call to. Her da'wah must be upon the methodology of the pious predecessors; thus, she must not invent her own methods which she views to be correct and more appropriate for her time while knowing that it contradicts the path of the pious predecessors. From his deep knowledge and sound understanding of the Book and the Sunnah, Imām Al-Bukhāri placed a chapter in his collection of authentic ahadīth entitled "Knowledge Before Statement and Action." Allāh the Exalted said:
فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنۢبِكَ
Have knowledge that nothing has the right to worshipped expect Allāh and seek forgiveness for your sins.

The Man Who Never Sinned, Yahya (‘alayhis salām)
The Messenger of Allāh (sallá Allāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) said:
“There is none from children of Adam except that he has sinned or considered sinning; except Yahya ibn Zakariyah.”
[From the Hadīth of ibn Abbās collected by Imām Ahmad (2294) declared authentic by Imām al-Albāni]
Imām ash-Shāfi’ī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:
“We don’t know of anyone who was granted obedience of Allāh such that he did not mix it with sins except Yahya ibn Zakariyah.
[The History of Damascus (8/195)]
Allāh the Exalted said concerning His slave and Prophet Zakariyah (peace be upon him):
So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, “Indeed, Allāh gives you good tidings of Yahya, confirming a word from Allāh and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous.”
[Soorah 'Āl ‘Imrān 3:39]
al-Qādhī ibn Iyyād (may Allah have mercy upon him) said this means he was free from sin; as though he was blocked or prevented from committing sins. And it has been said this means he did not have desire for women.
[ash-Shafa (1/88)]
Allāh the Exalted said:
“(It was said to his son): ‘O Yahya! Hold fast the Scripture.’ And We gave him wisdom while yet a child. And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy from Us, and pure and he was righteous, and dutiful towards his parents, and he was neither an arrogant nor disobedient.
[Soorah Maryam 19:12-15]
ibn Jarīr (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: ‘pure’ means he was pure from sins, he only used his body to obey Allāh. ibn Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: ‘pure and righteous’ means he never sinned.

SINCERE ADVICE FOR THE MUSLIM WOMEN
I advise the Muslim women to leave off argumentation in the religion and refutations, which has busied some of the women who claim to be students of knowledge. They compete with the students of knowledge and the scholars in the affair of refuting those in opposition. This woman writes against this one and that woman writes against that one. Thus, they have busied themselves [away] from their obligations which they will be questioned about.

THE REASON THE SERVANT WAS CREATED
The remembrance of Allāh is the reason that the servant was created. Through it he attains righteousness and success. The intent from the establishment of the prayer is this mighty purpose. Had it not been for the prayer that is repeated by the believers every day and night to remind them of Allāh wherein they continuously recite the Qur'ān, praise Allāh, supplicate and beseech Him as it is the core of the prayer, they would have been from the heedless.

Notes:
What does 'perfecting wudoo when it is difficult' means?
* Imaam an-Nawawee (rahimahullaah) said in his explanation of ‘Saheeh Muslim’:
“ Isbaaghul-Wudoo (Completing the Wudoo) is to make it complete; and ‘al-makaarih’ (at times when it is disagreeable): this occurs when there is severe cold, and when there is bodily pain, and the like.”
* al-Haafiz Ibn
Abdil-Barr (rahimahullaah) said in ‘at-Tamheed’ (20/222):
“ ‘Isbaaghul-Wudoo•’ is that you put water upon every body part which it is obligatory to wash, and that you cover all of it with the water, and pass the hand over it; and as for that which you do not put water upon, and do not wash, then you wipe it; and whoever wipes a body part which has to be washed, then there will be no wudoo for him, and no Prayer, until he washes that which Allaah has commanded him to wash…; as for his saying: ‘alal-makaarih’, then it is said that it means cold, and its severity; and every condition where a person has to compel himself to repel the whisperings of Satan, who tries to make him slacken regarding obedience and righteous action, and Allaah knows best.”
* Shaikh Saalih ibn `Uthaymeen says in his explanation of Riyaad us-Saaliheen (5/21):
“Completing the wudoo when it is disagreeable means the person performs wudoo and he completes his wudoo when he finds it disagreeable to do so; either because he has a fever which causes him to be averse to the water, so he still performs wudoo along with his aversion; or otherwise that the temperature is cold, and he does not have anything to heat the water up with. So the water is cold but he still performs wudoo even though he finds it disagreeable, or otherwise, there is rain which comes between him and the place of wudoo, but he still performs the wudoo even though it is disagreeable.
What is important is that he performs the wudoo despite its being disagreeable and it is being difficult; however, without there being any harm.
As for a case where there is harm, then he does not perform wudoo, rather he performs tayammum.
So it refers to when he feels troubled, and yet he performs the wudoo despite its being disagreeable. This is something on account of which Allaah wipes away sins, and raises ranks.
However this does not mean that the person sets out intending to bring that upon himself, and seeks to perform wudoo with cold water, whilst leaving aside warm water [that is available], or he has something which can warm the water, but says; ‘I will not warm it, I want to perform wudoo with cold water, so that I can attain the reward’. So this is not legislated, because Allaah says:
Meaning: ((Why should Allaah punish you if you show thanks to Him and truly believe.))
[Sooratun-Nisaa; aayah 147]
And the Prophet (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) saw a man standing in the sunshine, so he said: “What is this?” So they (the people) said: “He made a vow that he would stand in the sunshine.” So he (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) forbade him from that, and he commanded him to take shade.
(Reported by al-Bukhaaree no. 6704)
So a person is not commanded, nor is it recommend for him to do that which is a great difficulty for him or harms him. Rather, whenever an act of worship is easier for him then that is better.
However, if he has to put up with trouble, and that which is disagreeable, then he will be rewarded for that, because this is outside his own choice.”

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
On the authority of Qurrah al-Muzanī (رضي الله عنه) who said:
"When the Prophet of Allāh (ﷺ) would sit, a group of his companions would sit with him. Among them was a man who had a small son who would come from behind him and he would sit him in front of him. [The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, 'Do you love him?' He said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, may Allāh love you like I love him.] The boy (later died), and the man stopped attending the sitting due to him constantly remembering his son, and he became very grief-stricken. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked about him and said, 'Why is it that I do not see so and so?' They said, 'O Messenger of Allāh, his son that you saw died.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) met him and asked about his son, so he informed him that he died. (The Prophet) consoled him regarding his son, then said:
'O so and so, what is more beloved to you, that you enjoy your son during your life, or that you do not come tomorrow (in the Hereafter) to one of the gates of Jannah, except that you find that he already preceded you and opens it for you?'
He said: 'O Prophet of Allāh, rather (I wish) that he precedes me to the gate of Jannah and opens it for me. Verily, this is more beloved to me.'
He (the Prophet) said: 'Then this is for you.'
So a man [from the Ansār] said, 'O Messenger of Allāh [may Allāh ransom me for you], is this for him specifically or for all of us?'
He said, 'Rather, it is for all of you.'"

Call for the Uniting of Moon Sightings everywhere with that of Makkah? – Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Q. 393. There are some people who call for the uniting of moon sightings everywhere with that of Makkah, in order to unite the Muslim community over the start of the blessed month of Ramadan and other months. What is Your Eminence’s opinion on this?
A. From the point of view of astronomy, this is impossible, because the appearance of the new crescent, as Shaikhul-Islam Ibn Tairniyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, differs (from place to place) according to the consensus of those who are knowledge- able in this field. Since it differs, then what is necessitated by the evidence from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and scientific evidence, is that every country must have its own ruling.
As for the evidence from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, Allah, the Most High says:
“So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan, i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Scrum (fasts) that month” [Al-Baqarah 2:185]
So, if it happened that a people in the farthest part of the earth did not witness the month, i.e. the new crescent, while the people of Makkah had seen the new crescent, how could the address in this Verse be applied to those who had not witnessed the new crescent?! The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Fast when you see it and break the fast when you see it” [1]
So if the people of Makkah see it, how can we oblige the people of Pakistan and those Asians who live beyond it to fast, when we know that the new crescent has not appeared in their region, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: made fasting conditional upon the sighting of the new crescent?
The scientific evidence is the correct analogy, which it is not possible to refute, for we know that the dawn appears in the eastern corner of the earth before the western side. So if the dawn appears on the eastern side, is it incumbent upon us to fast while we are still in the night? The answer is no. If the sun sets in the east, while were still in daylight, is it permissible for us to break our fast? The answer is no. Therefore, the new crescent is exactly like the sun, except that the timing of the new crescent is monthly and the timing of the sun is daily, and He Who said:
“It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts). They are Lihas [i.e. body- cover, or screen, or Sakan (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with them) for you and you are the same for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned to you (accepted your repentance) and forgave you. So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allah has ordained for you (offspring), and eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night), then complete your Saum (fast) till the nightfall. And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I ’tikaf (i.e. confining oneself in a mosque for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the mosques. These are the limits (set) by Allah, so approach them not. Thus does Allah make clear His Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things, Allah’s set limits, orders, etc.) to mankind that they may become Al-Muttaqun.” [Al-Baqarah 2:187]
is the One Who said:
“whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan, i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month” [Al-Baqarah 2:185]
So, What is necessitated by the evidence from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as scientific evidence, is to make a special judgement for each place regarding fasting and breaking the fast, and to link them on the base of the perceptible sign which Allah has declared in His Book, and His Prophet, Muhammad fig has declared in his Sunnah, and that is the sighting of the moon and the sighting of the sun or the dawn.

THE IMPORTANCE OF RECREATION IN THE CHILD'S LIFE
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
The importance of recreation in the child's life is not merely for amusement but rather it is a means for teaching and the development of the (child's) abilities. For every age there are suitable toys, which are beneficial. However, if the child is given a toy which is beneath his intellectual capacity, then he will not be entertained by it. If he is given a toy which is above his intellectual capacity, then it will require effort beyond his capability, and perhaps he will ruin it.

Q: One day in Ramadan, I intended to observe Sawm (Fast) at night. Later, I slept and got up to hear the radio program preceding the Adhan (call to Prayer) which caused me think that the Adhan of Fajr (Dawn) Prayer had not yet been announced. Therefore, I drank some water. However, it turned out later that the Fajr Adhan had been announced. Is my Sawm invalid in this case?
A: Yes, you have to make up for that day as you ate intentionally, not out of forgetfulness, after the break of dawn.
The ruling on one who forgetfully approaches any of the things that break the Sawm (Fast)
Q: What is the ruling on a person who eats or drinks during the daytime in Ramadan out of forgetfulness?
A: There is no harm on him and his Sawm (Fast) is still valid, because Allah (عز وجل) says at the end of Surah Al-Baqarah: “Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error” [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2: 286] Also, it was narrated that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said that Allah (سبحانه) says: “I did.” Moreover, it is authentically reported on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “If anyone forgets that he is fasting and eats or drinks, he should complete his Fast, for it was Allah Who fed him and gave him drink.” (Agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Do You Know What The Highest Company Of Angels Are Disputing About?
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
AT-TIRMIDHEE reported in his 'Sunan' [Kitaab Tafseeril-Qur.aan: Chapter (39): And from Soorah 'Saad' (no. 3233)]:
Salamah ibn Shabeeb narrated to us, and ‘Abd ibn Humayd, both saying: ‘Abdur Razzaaq narrated to us: from Ma‘mar: from Ayyoob: from Aboo Qilaabah: from Ibn ‘Abbaas who said: Allaah’s Messenger (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) said:
<<Last night my Lord (The Exalted and Most High) came to me in the finest form>>
he said: I think he said: << in a dream >>,
<< so He said: ‘O Muhammad! Do you know what the highest company (of Angels) are disputing about?.’
He said: I said: No.
He said: So He placed His Hand between my shoulder-blades so that I felt its coolness within my breast – or he said – my chest. So I knew what was in the heavens and upon the earth.
He said: ‘O Muhammad! Do you know what the highest company (of Angels) are disputing about?’
I said: Yes, about those things which efface sins; and those things which efface sins are:
Remaining in the mosques after the Prayer, and walking upon foot to the congregational Prayers, and perfecting the wudoo when it is difficult.
Whoever does that will live upon good and die upon good, and with regard to his sins, he will be like the day his mother gave birth to him.
He said ‘O Muhammad! When you pray then say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي، وَتَرْحَمَنِي، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِتْنَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُون
O Allaah, I ask You for the performance of good deeds and the abandonment of evil deeds, and for love of the poor and needy; and if You wish to put Your servants to trial then take me to Yourself (in death) not being put to trial.
He said: And the (high) levels are propagating the greeting of ‘Salaam’, providing food, and praying during the night whilst the people are sleeping. >>“

The Muslims are bound by their conditions | Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Baz رحمه الله
Question: I agreed with the father of my wife that after marriage I would live in close proximity to them. But after my marriage I was compelled to live far away from them in another city due to my living conditions and my job. My wife agreed to move with me, but her father vehemently rejected this. So in this situation is my contract voided and I am sinning, considering my wife does not mind. Please give us a verdict, may you be rewarded with good?
Shaykh bin Baz: If your wife is happy then there is no problem with her moving with you. But if she is not happy then Muslims are bound by their conditions. If she is pleased then you can move, her mother and father do not have the right to prevent her from that, because you may need her, so there is no problem. But if she takes her parents side and she wants you to fulfill your contract then it is upon you to fulfill your contract. This is based upon the statement of the Prophet peace be upon him: “The Muslims are bound by their conditions.”[1], And he—peace be upon him said: “The condition most worthy of being fulfilled is that which permits intimacy.”[2], Agreed upon its authenticity.
