Below table is "Level Measurement Classification" table published by Emerson company on 2013. It catagorized technologies into 4 groups as below:
1- Manual/Mechnical
2-Electromechanical
3-Electronic contacting
4-Electronic non-contacting
Also, it indicates that what kind of property is measured by the device.
