ART SHOW & AUCTION PAYMENT NEWS! We want to assure our Art Show sellers that we're working on sold-item processing as quickly as possible. Policy on Generative AI and dropshipped items in the Dealers' Den We're aware of suggestions that some of this year's ConFuzzled dealers were using generative AI for their artworks or were reselling items purchased at low-cost from places like Shein and Temu ("dropshipping"). Following this, we'd like to update you on what we're doing about this areas as we know they're extremely important both to artists and to the community as a whole. We will be reviewing the Dealers' Den Terms of Service, our con-wide CoC, and our active processes regarding generative AI content and reselling before registration opens in September. We also want to urge people to not engage in witch hunts against specific dealers or artists. While often well-meaning, these accusations can harm new or inexperienced creators whose work is not as polished as their more experienced peers. Furthermore, in the case of claims of reselling, it can be the case that marketplaces (such as Shein, Temu etc.) are ripping off the artists in our den, not that they are reselling. We want you to know that we do take these things seriously, both the accusations and the offences, and we thank you for your patience as we work towards clearer guidelines on the matter.
