Figment Capital's latest piece on decentralized proving covers Marlin’s ZK prover marketplace!
Here are the key takeaways:
- With the rise of ZK apps, a phenomenal increase in ZK-proof generation is expected.
- ZK proof generation can be resource intensive, expensive and tediously slow. Proofs can be computed at the client side (by users themselves) or on the server side (via hosted or decentralized solutions).
- Server-side proofs can be generated either by prover networks or proof markets and while initially centralized, ZK apps are looking to decentralize proof generation and coming to the realization that it can be outsourced.
- Enter Marlin’s ZK prover marketplace: a platform for apps and protocols to offload proof generation (including private computations secured by enclaves) to a decentralized prover network.
