Today is Sharad Purnima, celebrating the 240th Birth Anniversary of Mul Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami Maharaj. Once in Gadhada, Shriji Maharaj told Kurji Dave, “When Ramanand Swami came to Piplana, I had nothing to give you then, so I promised to give you my Akshardham. Here it is — Gunatitanand Swami is my Akshardham. Whoever serves him sincerely will be freed from the burdens of a thousand births.” Gunatitanand Swami embodied ideal devotion and seva. Recognized by Maharaj himself as Akshar, he laid the foundation of the Gunatit lineage. As we celebrate his birthday, let’s strive to imbibe his virtues and remember our smrutis with pragat Aksharbrahma Mahant Swami Maharaj.
