Go to waves folder and Install Waves Central and Run 2. Select Offline Installer and Click Install from an Offline Installer 3. Browse the Waves folder you downloaded (Inside : 1 - Installer) ( OR DRAG THAT FOLDER ON DESKTOP) 4. Select the plugins you like and Install! 5. Apply patch 6. By aeay2007 **** To Make New Waves CR8-Sampler works with Cosmos Manager ***** ----------------------------------------------------------------------- for (Windows 10 & 11 users) All these TRIALS failed for me 1- Updating from previous Waves version and installing Cosmos after registering for the license, Either CR8 and Cosmos worked and broke my Waves plugins and vice versa. 2- Repairing and repatching didn't solve either So, The Solution is completely remove Waves including Wave central and make a fresh install Steps:- - Uninstall Completely all Waves Plugins , Central - Install Latest Waves Central v13.0.12 (at 22-2-2022) - First Open (Waves Central) , log in (need a Free account by registering on waves.com) - Don't look for (COSMOS) in search inside waves central --> Doesn't appear!! So, Choose Settings --> Offline installer --> install Only (Cosmos Sample Finder) - Open Cosmos standalone app from desktop shortcut & its default Path is:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\COSMOS\bin\COSMOS.exe and log in when asked --> it worked a Full Sample Pack of 3.77 GB is installed from the downloaded (Waves v13 Complete) Pack to this Path:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Data\Instrument Data\Waves Sample Libraries --->Then, Close (Cosmos) completely from Task Manager & log out of (Wave Central). ---> Block Both by Firewall - Install the offline installer from the waves folder (from the downloaded Pack) ===> Choose (Not to Re-Install Cosmos again or Re-Install it again)=(Both Worked), then, Install all other Waves plugin you Like ===> Close (Wave Central) - Run the (VR-Patch) - Not important Step unless you tried ,didn't work, then need it ===> Run the (fixMe.cmd) - Not important Step unless you tried ,didn't work, then need it Specially f u have any Waves Hardware ===> (Reboot Windows) and all works fine. N.B. There's only one problem:- if you intervenet in any way on the (WavesLocalServer) file, you lose all the advanced features of the new presets browser! While, I killed (localserver) by running (fixMe.cmd) BUT everything is fine for me AEAY!! If Waves Plugins Disappeared from inside Your DAW (Studio One,,, ) after upgrading or Full Removal, Re-Installation ---> Delete the VST3 or VST2 Path for it from inside your DAW , Put the Path again & Re-Scan it VST3 C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 VST2 C:\Program Files\Vstplugins Restarting the PC & runing the (fixMe.cmd) Weren't vital for Me AEAY ==> Waves worked Perfectly with & Without doing BOTH !! ** Some tried Other way ==> Installed over a Previous Waves version ==> Then, log in via (Waves Central) by Online Account and clicked on "Repair" Took some time but eventually it was fixed and both Cosmos & CR8 worked. ==> Then, log in via (Cosmos) , Open it ==> Block by Firewall (Waves Central) & (Cosmos) ===> Re-Patch with VR-Team Restart PC ---> Done
