Du' ā asking for clear skies: اللّهُمَّ حَوالَيْنا وَلا عَلَيْـنا اللّهُمَّ عَلى الآكـامِ وَالظِّـراب وَبُطـونِ الأوْدِية وَمَنـابِتِ الشَّجـر O Allāh, let the rain fall around us and not upon us, O Allāh, (let it fall) on the pastures, hills, valleys, and the roots of trees.

مُطِـرْنا بِفَضْـلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَـتِه We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allāh.

𝐹𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝐾ℎ𝑢𝑡𝑏𝑎ℎ - 02/01/2026 - ¹³𝑡ℎ 𝑅𝑎𝑗𝑎𝑏 1447 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑀𝑢𝑠𝑙𝑖𝑚 𝑓𝑢𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑙𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑜𝑦𝑠 𝑜𝑟 𝑐𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑙 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐 𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑦. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲. All praise is for Allāh. We praise Him, we ask for His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allāh from the evil in ourselves and from our bad actions. Whoever Allāh guides, no one can misguide, and whoever He allows to go astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allāh alone, and I bear witness that Muḥammad [ﷺ] is His servant and Messenger. O believers, fear Allāh and remember that every soul will taste death. Brothers and sisters in Islām, when a Muslim dies, Islām teaches us to bury the person quickly, calmly, and with respect. The Prophet [ﷺ] said: “Hasten with the funeral.” This does not mean disorder. It does not mean trouble on the road. It means respect for the dead and mercy for the living. A janāzah is not a show and not a protest. It is the last journey of a believer to the grave. Today, however, this journey has become difficult. Cars move fast, roads are busy, and there is danger. So young boys stand in the road to stop traffic. They do this not because Islām told them to, but because there is no one else to do it. This is not disobedience to the law; it is a sign that help is missing. Islām does not teach us to fight order. Islām teaches us justice and balance. Allāh says: “Indeed, Allāh commands justice and goodness.” (Qur’ān 16:90) Stopping traffic is not the work of children or mourners. It is the work of trained officers. When the police guide the funeral, everyone is safe. The road is calm. The dead is honored. The law is respected. We thank the government for recognizing Muslims with public holidays. But respect should not end with celebration. Death also deserves respect. Burial is as important as any festival. So we call on our leaders and Members of Parliament: make the law help the people, not punish them. Do not arrest boys who are trying to protect a funeral. Instead, provide police escort. Make it official. Make it safe. Make it dignified. O believers, remember this: A good nation is not known by how it treats the rich and powerful, but by how it respects ordinary people in their time of grief. May Allāh forgive our dead, protect our living, and guide our leaders to what is right. May He make our laws a source of peace, not pain, and our communities places of dignity, not danger. Indeed Allāh loves justice and mercy. 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫. S𝓸𝓪𝓵𝓪卄¹•

𝐻𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑦 𝐼𝑠 𝑅𝑢𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝐹𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑠, 𝑁𝑜𝑡 𝑆𝑎𝑙𝑡 𝐼𝑏𝑛 ‘𝑈𝑦𝑎𝑦𝑛𝑎ℎ 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑: “𝑀𝑎𝑦 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑎ℎ 𝑟𝑒𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑆𝑢𝑓𝑦𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑙-𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑤𝑟𝑖. 𝐼𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑: 𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑠 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑓𝑖𝑓𝑡𝑦 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 ℎ𝑖𝑚 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑. 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑖𝑚—𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑘𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑑𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑜𝑛.
