Yalda (شب چله) Yalda is celebrated on the first night of winter, the Winter Solstice. It's the longest night of the year. Yalda means the birthday or rebirth of the sun and it is based on the ancient Iranian belief of light vs. dark, and good vs. evil. Since the days start getting longer and the nights shorter, this day marks the victory of light over dark, and good over evil. We sincerely hope that the bright sunshine of freedom, democracy, and human rights will soon replace the darkness of fear and terror in Iran and worldwide. بزرگداشت یلدا در اولین شب زمستان برگزار می شود. یلدا طولانی ترین شب سال است. یلدا به معنای تولد یا تولد دوباره خورشید است و بر اساس باور ایرانیان باستان، مبنی بر روشنایی در مقابل تاریکی و خیر در برابر شر است. از آنجایی که روزها بلندتر و شب ها کوتاه تر می شوند، این روز نشان دهنده پیروزی نور بر تاریکی و خیر بر شر است.   ما صمیمانه امیدواریم که آفتاب روشن آزادی، دموکراسی و حقوق بشر به زودی جایگزین تاریکی ترس و وحشت در ایران و جهان شود. @PCCSD

Persian Cultural Center Youth Committee Invites you to Family and Friends Movie Night December 9, 2022, 6 PM  Iranian-American Center 6790 Top Gun St. Ste #7, San Diego, CA 92121  We are welcoming Afghan Refugee kids into our community. Kids in need will be handed toys as a gift from the community.  Everyone is still welcome. There will be popcorn, candy and hot chocolate provided. @PCCSD

Fifth Food/Toy Drive The PCC Youth Committee will be hosting it is our fifth food drive on Sunday, November 6 & 13, 2022, from 10 AM to 12 PM. کمیته نوجوانان کانون فرهنگی ایرانیان سن دیگو پنجمین برنامه جمع آوری غذا و اسباب بازی برای کودکان نیازمند را در روزهای یکشنبه ۶ و ۱۳ نوامبر از ساعت ۱۰ صبح تا ۱۲ ظهر برگزار می کنند. Rd., San Diego , CA 92129 All donated food will go to the San Diego food bank where it will be distributed to those who are in need.  New toys will be accepted and will be distributed to Afghan kids.
