#See4Yourself & #Think4Yourself 🎬 Biological Warfare Department: The Alarming Truth About Pentagon's Secret Worldwide Biolab Network — an RT Doc Film. Synopsis: Hundreds of US military biolaboratories are located in dozens of countries around the world. Under the guise of scientific research, they work with dangerous pathogens. The results of this research are classified. In March 2022, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia presented a report that detailed a network of 30 biological weapons labs in Ukraine. With each passing day, volunteers uncover new evidence of illegal activities related to the development of biological weapons in the liberated territories of Donbass. The authors of the film met with the team that is collecting evidence of such laboratories in Ukraine and talked to journalists and experts whose investigations prove the criminal activities of the US military medics. According to their opinion, "peaceful" scientific centres are developing new types of biological weapons, conducting prohibited experiments and human trials. ☝️ Through meticulous research and expert interviews, this documentary sheds light on the activities that take place in the US biolaboratories in Ukraine, Georgia, Indonesia and other countries worldwide. Former high-ranking officials and journalists who dared to visit these laboratories explain how the sophisticated network was established, and reveal its ultimate purpose.

🎙️Embassy comment on the provocative statements by David Cameron on the Ukrainian crisis ▪︎During his visit to Kiev on 2 May, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron made another provocative statement, allowing the use of British weapons by the Ukrainian armed forces to launch attacks on Russian territory, including outside the Special Military Operation zone. ▪︎We consider this confession as confirmation of the UK's increasing direct involvement in the armed conflict in Ukraine. ▪︎The UK Government is persistently pursuing a course of escalation and expansion of geography of military actions. ▪︎Raising the stakes in the proxy confrontation with Russia has become an end in itself for London. At the same time, it seems that the British establishment is not interested at all in getting to the bottom of the true causes of the conflict. ▪︎It is symbolic that David Cameron's “blitz visit” to Kiev came on the tenth anniversary of the terrible events in the Trade Unions House in Odessa, where the nationalists, brought to power in Kiev by the West, and their accomplices burned 48 innocent people alive. ▪︎Giving the Zelensky regime a carte blanche to use British weapons for terrorist shelling of Russian cities deep inside our country, London, having dropped its masks, confirmed the obvious – that the remnants of Ukraine's economic and demographic potential, territorial control as well as statehood will be used exclusively in attempts to militarily and forcefully weaken Russia. ☝️The British establishment cares little about the fate of civilians, as it was once in Odessa. In this context, it is no coincidence that our investigative bodies are getting evidence of the use by the Ukrainian armed forces of British-French missile weapons to shell peaceful city of Belgorod back in December 2023, long before David Cameron's current self-exposing statements. ❗For our part, we affirm that the UK’s prodding will only prolong the agony of the neo-Nazi regime entrenched in Kiev. ➡️Read in full

🎙 Foreign Minister’s Special Representative for Cooperation to Promote Respect for the Right to Freedom of Religion and Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large Gennady Askaldovich’s comment on the annual report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (May 2024) Key points: 💬 This year, the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom devoted its annual report to the 25th anniversary of the enactment of the International Religious Freedom Act. Convinced as it is in its messianic mission, the United States has long assumed that it knows better than anyone else around the world how to protect religious freedoms and is free to criticise, lecture and control other countries in this regard. • Drafted along the same lines, this latest report focuses on a traditional group of undesirable countries, including Russia. • Russia stands accused of arbitrarily persecuting Crimean Tatar activists, representatives of the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, etc. Of course, the authors mostly sought guidance from excessively biased and partisan sources sponsored by the United States itself. • We would like to emphasise that the report interpreted the facts it presents in an extremely distorted manner, turning them upside down. ❗️Russia rejects these allegations and attempts to distort the reality. No one is facing repression for their religious beliefs in our country, and all those who fail to abide by the law get the punishment they deserve. • We advise the American champions of truth and justice to focus on their own country considering the rise in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia there. ☝️ Russia could not care less about being designated on yet another American list. However, we will never fail to respond to an outrageous lack of objectivity and the distortion of facts by these overseas authors, or to expose their bad intentions. Read in full

⚡️ Statement by the Embassy of Russia in Ireland on the trial of Desmond Wisley (May 3, 2024) 🔈 On May 3, 2024, the jury in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court reached a decision in the trial of Desmond Wisley, who on March 7, 2022, crushed the gates of the Embassy of Russia in Ireland with his truck. The jury returned a not guilty verdict in relation to the dangerous driving charge against the defendant. The other count – criminal damage – is to be examined by the court at a later date. 📢 The Embassy regrets this decision by the jury, considers it politically motivated and taken under the influence of rabid anti-Russian propaganda, promoted by both the state and the media of Ireland. This decision is not based on facts on the matter and allows the perpetrator to be exonerated of his clearly extremist actions. ❗️ The Embassy will remain in contact with the Irish authorities on this matter. ⚡️Russia's MFA prepared and published report on the human rights situation in the US ❗️Despite the deep contradictions in American society, the US continues to assert itself a global leader in the field of human rights protection. At the same time, Washington is in no hurry to expand its international legal obligations in the field of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. Among violations of human rights and freedoms that were committed by the US: ❌ The conduct of all kinds of military operations in the territory of European and Middle Eastern states; ❌ Creation of secret prisons around the worldу; ❌ Implementation of extremely stringent migration policies in recent years. These and others violations illustrate not only the dual nature of this country's position regarding human rights standards but also its approaches to international law as such. The American authorities actively use the tactics of "fighting by proxy" against Russia and Russians. This is expressed in the direction of large‑scale military assistance to the Kiev regime and putting pressure on the US NATO allies so that they take similar measures. 👉 An overt pressure is being exerted on sovereign states, including through the use of human rights mechanisms, in an attempt to create a corresponding negative background around the Russian Federation and its allies and partners in the international arena. Mentoring tone, partiality, full oblivion of the concept of sovereignty and one of the main and fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the UN Charter – non-interference in the internal affairs of states, lead to deep disappointment in those very "Western values" that "fascinated" other civilizations and societies during a century, bringing considerable political dividends to the West and the US itself. ☝️ Moreover, the human rights situation in the US itself is far from international standards in the field of protection of fundamental freedoms, which is becoming more and more obvious day after day 📄 Read in full

❗️Looking back on the Odessa tragedy, it is clear that ten years ago Brussels not only turned a blind eye to the massacre of civilians, but, more importantly, demonstrated its readiness to continue to overlook any further such crimes by Kiev. Subsequently, the EU began to indulge the Ukrainian regime’s every urge to kill politicians, journalists, civil society activists - all those who disagreed with the post-Maidan developments in the country. All this, however, does not prevent the European Union from insisting at the same time that Ukraine, on its way to the "European family", is making significant progress in guaranteeing fundamental human rights and freedoms. ❓One cannot help but wonder whether the European Union is aware of what neo-Nazism is and whether it intends to address its manifestations in Europe, given that all the resources available to Brussels have been thrown into countering one of the objectives of Russia's special military operation, namely the denazification of Ukraine.

🗓 World Press Freedom Day is marked every year on May 3 to remind the international community about the importance of respecting media independence and pluralism and protecting the rights of journalists. The day was established by the UN General Assembly Resolution on December 20, 1993. ❗️ On this important day for the media worldwide, we would like to draw public attention to the dramatic situation with the freedom of expression and access to information in the countries of the collective West. Contrary to their international commitments, the so-called democratic countries continue to suppress any form of dissent. Investigative journalist Julian Assange remains incarcerated in a London prison, and there are also other prisoners of conscience. We are still waiting for a reaction from the concerned international human rights organisations to the death of Gonzalo Lira, a Chilean-American journalist betrayed by both his native countries, in a Ukrainian prison in January 2024.     We see that the Western governments continue with their arbitrary treatment of Russian media outlets and journalists, who have felt the full effects of the Western neo-liberal mechanism of repression. Special mention should be made of the dire situation with media freedom in the Baltic states and Moldova, whose governments, acting with the tacit approval of their Western handlers, are harassing Russian-language media under the pretext of fighting against “Russian propaganda.” Zelensky’s criminal regime has eliminated the last vestiges of the freedom of speech in Ukraine by banning all opposition media outlets and denying access to thousands of online resources. Their overseas masters’ connivance has led, in particular, to savage attacks on Russian journalists. One more name has recently been added to the list of Russian correspondents killed by Ukrainian thugs. Izvestia military correspondent Semyon Yeryomin was deliberately killed in the line of duty in a neo-Nazi drone attack. UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay has not condemned his cold-blooded murder or, for that matter, the murder of other Russian journalists – Darya Dugina (Platonova), Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), Oleg Klokov, Rostislav Zhuravlev and Boris Maksudov. ☝️ Regrettably, World Press Freedom Day, which was intended to be a universal event, is gradually becoming just another insignificant day. This situation will only change if the world takes an honest look at the situation with the freedom of the media and the safety of journalists, a look that is not distorted by Western propaganda. #FreedomOfSpeech

🇷🇺🇹🇯📞 President Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The two Presidents discussed taking part together in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, since Emomali Rahmon was invited to attend these events. 🤝 The conversation also included a detailed and constructive exchange of opinions on certain topical bilateral matters, including cooperation in combatting the terrorist threat, as well as migration-related matters. In this context, the two Leaders agreed to further improve cooperation mechanisms between the corresponding ministries and agencies. ☝️ Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon went on to express their certainty that they would work together to cut short the recent attempts by certain forces to use the issue of labour migrants coming to Russia, including from Tajikistan, to stir up tension, affirming that these efforts would never have any negative bearing on the time-tested brotherly relations between the two nations. #RussiaTajikistan

🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative M.Buyakevich «World Press Freedom Day» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 02.05.2024) 📰 May 3 celebrates World Freedom Day. Today, we can ritually speculate on the significance of this day, report on achievements in the information field or about national plans to support the media and strengthen trust in society. But the evidence is such that the genuine freedom of the media no longer exists   🔻“Double standards”, targeted restrictions and illegality regarding representatives of the media sphere have become almost ordinary in the countries of the “collective West”   🔻The situation with freedom of speech in Ukraine degraded to a critical level. All the media opposition to the Kiev regime has long been prohibited, any manifestations of dissent are brutally suppressed and exhausted from the information space. In addition, the Ukrainian authorities are actively continuing the hunt for Russian representatives of the media ❗️Another victim of the NATO puppets in Kyiv was S.Eremin, a military correspondent for the Izvestiya news agency, who was killed in the performance of his professional duties. Unfortunately, we have not received any condemnation of this crime from the OSCE executive structures. 🔻The result of the silence of specialized international institutions was a rapid deterioration in the situation with the rights of reporters also in the Baltic states. The next victim of the frank arbitrariness of the Baltic authorities was the Russian-speaking journalist S.Burtseva, detained on Feb.28 for interaction with the Russian media outlet of “Baltnews”. Earlier this year another reporter - the editor of the Estland Vesti portal by Allan Hantson - was detained 🔻Moldova's information space continues to suffocate in the grip of censorship by the Chisinau regime. This time the Canal 5 TV channel was declared a "threat to state security". We also take note the attempts of the Moldova authorities to take control or close down the public television of Gagauzi

⚡️ FM Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s comment on marking 10 years since the May 2, 2014, tragedy in Odessa 💬 Exactly ten years ago, the Ukrainian Nazis perpetrated a terrible and heinous crime in Odessa. ▪️ On May 2, 2014, the Maidan supporters unleashed their cruelty on an unprecedented scale against those who refused to support the bloody unconstitutional armed government coup in Kiev and did not accept nationalist radicals coming to power with their detrimental, anti-national policies. <...> On May 2, they [nationalists] attacked a peaceful procession in the city centre during a rally for federalisation. Under attack, the demonstrators sought refuge inside the Trade Unions House where they tried barricading themselves from the Nazis in their beastly frenzy. However, this did not save them. The radicals set the building on fire, while finishing off those who tried to flee the flames and jumped through the windows. This resulted to an official death toll of at least 48 people who were burnt alive, died after inhaling too much carbon oxide or fell from the windows of the building’s upper floors. <...> ❗️The methods the Nazis used demonstrated the human hating nature of the new regime in Ukraine. International organisations pressured Kiev into launching an investigation on what happened on May 2, 2014, but it turned into a farce. The court returned the indictment to the prosecutor’s office many times <...> These efforts went hand in hand with a blatant attempt by the radicals to interfere into the proceedings. <...> Zelensky came to power in 2019 <...>, but the glimmer of hope he brought quickly faded away. <...> Zelensky failed to live up to his promises. ☝️ Today, as we pay tribute to the victims of the bloody reprisals in Odessa, we have no doubt that sooner or later those who perpetrated and inspired this barbaric crime, which has no statute of limitations will have to face the punishment they deserve. 🇷🇺🇺🇸 Comment by the Russian Embassy in the United States We drew attention to the latest report of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom with anti-Russian passages. ❌ We categorically reject unsubstantiated accusations of Russia’s alleged failure to respect the rights of believers. By spreading false theses, Washington is trying in vain to find a reason to interfere in our internal affairs and undermine interfaith dialogue. ☝️Over the centuries mutually respectful relations have been formed in the Russian Federation between representatives of different ethnic groups and religions. This is one of the supporting pillars of Russian statehood. ❗️Instead of moralizing, Washington should analyze the human rights problems in the United States itself. The U.S. TV channels broadcast daily footage confirming the surge in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, as well as a frenzied campaign to impose non-traditional family and religious values. 👉 Moreover, what is striking is the disregard by U.S. pseudo-fighters for religious freedom of the severe and inhumane repressions of the Zelensky regime against followers of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Instead of condemnation, attempts are being made to write off Kiev’s illegal actions on the special military operation. This once again confirms the hypocrisy of the local “human rights activists” serving the political guidelines of the U.S. authorities.

💬On #WorldPressFreedomDay we remind #UNESCO Director-General A.Azoulay of the need to strictly follow her mandate and condemn killing of journalists without any distinction❗ This mandate was provided by the UNESCO General Conference in 1997 and confirmed by the Executive Board in 2023. We regret that the UNESCO Secretariat, despite following these decisions of the Governing Bodies of the Organization, is guided by some “internal criteria” unfamiliar to Member-States and, to our view, based on double standards. There is still no reaction of A.Azoulay to the killing of Russian journalists D.Dugina, O.Klokov, M.Fomin (V.Tatarsky), B.Maksudov and S.Eremin committed by Kiev regime. 📢We urge the UNESCO Director-General to unconditionally condemn the killing of Russian journalists. Absence of UNESCO's reaction to crimes against Russian journalists creates conditions for impunity and puts into question the Organization's work in the field of press freedom and protection of journalists’ rights.

🎙 Russia's Ambassador in Canada Oleg Stepanov on the tragic events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa Read in full 💬 Today marks exactly 10 years since the monstrous crime committed by the Ukrainian Nazis in Odessa. On May 2, 2014, supporters of the so called 'Maidan revolution' dealt with those who did not back up the bloody unconstitutional armed coup in Kiev and did not agree with the coming to power of national radicals. Since the spring of 2014, Odessa residents have organized a tent camp in the square near the House of Trade Unions, where they held peaceful actions in support of federalization of Ukraine, the protection of the Russian language and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the region. People protested against discriminatory policy of total Ukrainization, installing the ideology of aggressive nationalism, cultivating neo-Nazi ideas. ☝️ Freedom-loving Russian-speaking Odessa was a bone in the throat of the regime, which at all costs wanted to bring the inhabitants of the city it hated to their knees. Nationalists prepared provocations in advance. On May 2, they attacked a peaceful march of supporters of federalization in the city center, who tried to hide from the brutal Nazis in the House of Trade Unions. The building was set on fire by radicals.<...> ❌ The investigation of the May 2, 2014 case, initiated by Kiev regime under pressure from international organizations, turned into a farce. No one was punished.

#NoStatuteOfLimitation 🗓 Today marks 10 years since the massacre of May 2 in Odessa took place. On that day in 2014 the Ukrainian neo-Nazis set fire to the House of Trade Unions with people inside, i.e. set... people on fire... 🕯 This barbarous act of intimidating dissenters – essentially, an act of terror, aimed at squashing any potential dissent or free-thinking, perpetrated with inhumane cynicism and cruelty – killed several dozen people. Most of them were burned alive; some died of carbon monoxide poisoning, others perished after jumping from the upper floors of the burning building. Ukrainian neo-Nazis murdered those who survived the fall, escaping fire, jumping out of the windows. ❌ Ten years following the tragedy the perpetrators of this cruel, inhuman massacre have yet to be duly punished. We will never forget this heinous crime and will continue our efforts to make sure that all those involved in this tragedy are identified and receive what they deserve. #WeRemember

#Opinion by Ambassador Gennady Gatilov ▪️ It has been exactly 10 years since the terrible tragedy in Odessa, which is referred to as the "Odessa Khatyn". As in 1943, people, driven into the Trade Unions House by Ukrainian nationalists in the spirit of Hitler's punitive squads, perished in the flames of the burning building. Despite abundant documentary evidence from the scene, no one has faced punishment for the murder of 48 people. ▪️ Calls for a "thorough investigation of the incident" from Washington, the Council of Europe, the European Union and other patrons of the violent 2014 coup in Ukraine, were made just for show for obvious reasons. No one seriously expected the "masters" of the current Kiev regime to be genuinely interested in publicly punishing their subordinates. ▪️ Another issue is more puzzling. The response of the UN, including its human rights mechanisms, as well as other international organizations to the tragedy in Odessa was so casual and "inert" that it only exacerbated the situation. Such an "indulgence of violence" effectively gave Kiev a sense of impunity, which led to the beginning of full-scale military actions against its own citizens (at the time) in Donbass, resulting in thousands of civilian casualties. ▪️ This anniversary gives reason to once again reflect on the nature of the Kiev regime. The Odessa massacre clearly exposed the true face of the Ukrainian authorities and "opened the eyes" of many, above all - the residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, to the grim fate for defending their history, faith, culture and native language. ❗️ I strongly believe that justice will prevail, and the perpetrators will not escape the punishment they deserve. Just as justice caught up with Nazi war criminals, so too will it reach the Ukrainian Banderites committing crimes against humanity today.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 On May 2, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy on Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin in Moscow. Russia's Foreign Minister expressed his desire to promote Holguin’s efforts to create conditions for the resumption of talks between the two communities of the island. He reaffirmed Russia’s consistent position on this issue, according to which a settlement pattern should be fair and sustainable, rest on the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and be determined by the Cypriot parties themselves with due account of their fair interests. Sergey Lavrov positively assessed the activities of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and the UN Secretary-General’s goodwill mission on maintaining stability on the island, which is indispensable for a dialogue between the communities. 🤝 He said Russia is ready to continue working to enhance the efficiency of the UN in this area, in particular, by taking part in the UNFICYP.

🕯 May 2 marks ten years since the tragedy in Odessa. On this day, the Euromaidan supporters committed atrocities against those who openly opposed the anti-constitutional government coup in Kiev perpetrated by nationalists, supported by the western sponsors. According to official statistics alone, at least 48 people died during these tragic events, including 42 who were killed or burned alive at the Trade Unions House, as well as another six who perished during the clashes on the streets of Odessa. In fact, the Kiev regime has repeated what the Bandera torturers did 80 years ago in Belarus' Khatyn. ❗️ Although some perpetrators have been identified, they have not received the punishment they deserve. The West remains silent regarding these bloody crimes of the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, the Kiev regime, which to this day continues to use terrorist methods to achieve its goals. 👉 We shan't let the world forget what happened on 2 May 2014 in Odessa: read the retrospective of this terrible day in the extended material. 👉 Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the 10th anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa Today, as we pay tribute to the victims of the bloody reprisals in Odessa, we have no doubt that sooner or later those who perpetrated and inspired this barbaric crime, which has no statute of limitations, will have to face the punishment they deserve. #NoStatuteOfLimitation

⚠️The European Union keeps disinforming the world public by trying to impose narratives about Russia's alleged failure to comply with international law. Lead Spokesperson of the European Commission for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Peter Stano stated on 27 April 2024: Russia continues to take measures against EU companies operating in the country. <…> These measures, targeting legitimate economic activities, are yet another proof of Russia’s disregard for international law and rules. ❌One more indication that the EU officials live in their own world. In this world, one can pretend that the EU and its Member States did not unleash a trade and economic war against Russia and act as if it were not for the EU sanctions that the world community faced food and energy crises. ❗️It seems necessary to remind Brussels that the European Union's unilateral restrictive measures against third countries and their citizens are illegitimate by definition, since they were adopted bypassing the UN Security Council. The introduction of restrictions by the European Union is detrimental to the system of international financial and trade relations and contrary to the principles of the WTO. Not so long ago Brussels argued that the use of extraterritorial sanctions was illegal, today it is actively applying them. All these objective facts are evident to those countries that do not intend to follow Western-imposed policies and do not accept the "rules-based world order".

🎙 MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question about Kiev’s recent statements regarding the events in Bucha in the Spring of 2022 ❓ On April 24, Kiev’s UN mission came up with its own “version” of the events in Bucha, thus replying to a note circulated by the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN at the UNSC and the UNGA. Kiev and the West are persisting in their attempts to put the blame for the gory show they had staged themselves on Russia. How would you comment on these statements? 💬 Maria Zakharova: Russia has repeatedly proved with facts in hand that the so-called Bucha massacre is a cynical ploy. As usual, the message circulated by the Ukrainian mission contains no evidence, just unfounded accusations and references to the “firm conclusions” by the so-called Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine and research by the OSCE’s derelict Moscow Mechanism. <...> According to the Ukrainian figures, the Russian military committed 272 crimes per day... <...> which is completely unrealistic. In addition, they managed to provide humanitarian aid to the local population. In total, 452 tonnes of Russian humanitarian cargoes were delivered and distributed in Bucha and other localities in the Kiev Region. The local mobile communications networks remained in operation while the city was under Russian military control. Not a single local resident reported any instances of violence. <...> It is important to note that, following the Russian withdrawal on March 31, 2022, Bucha mayor Anatoly Fedorchuk posted a video that conspicuously did not mention “extensive Ukrainian casualties.” <...> ❗️ However, the most important point is that a full-scale investigation into the Bucha tragedy has yet to begin. There is still no information available about the victims’ names, places of residence, time, location and cause of death, and autopsy results. <...> 👉 This can only mean one thing: the leaders of the Kiev regime fear an investigation as it could implicate themselves. 🇷🇺🇹🇯📞 On April 30, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke over the phone with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin. The Foreign Ministers exchanged opinions on topical issues related to bilateral cooperation. Sergey Lavrov informed the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan about the anti-terrorism measures undertaken by the Russian special services in accordance with the Russian legislation. The tragic events at Crocus City Hall were one of the main reasons for stricter screening of incoming foreign citizens. The Russian Foreign Minister emphasised that these measures were temporary and not targeted against any specific nation or religion. He also noted that the situation at checkpoints was gradually returning to normal. The Ministers agreed on the importance of handling the well-established Russian-Tajik relations of strategic partnership and allied interaction with care in order to preserve and maintain their positive momentum. #RussiaTajikistan

🇷🇺🇺🇸 Ambassador Anatoly Antonov’s answer to a media question ❓: Dear Ambassador Antonov, how could you comment on a new sanctions “round” of the United States against our country? 💬 Anatoly Antonov: The whole world saw another “hodgepodge” of restrictions created by the Administration. This is an example of the series of Russophobic actions taken by the United States in recent days. Among them - a multi-billion dollar “package” of assistance to Kiev, delivering dangerous long-range ammunition and promises of ephemeral security guarantees for the regime. 👉 Local officials list a variety of measures among “no-other-option steps” to confront Russia. Including absolutely odious and unsubstantiated accusations against the Russian Federation of using chemical weapons. The United States is trying to intimidate our partners, including China, to block the channels of normal foreign trade cooperation. It is once again targeting Russian high-tech, transportation, and energy companies, meaning to “knock out” competitors from the markets. ❗️Washington seems to not understand that Russia and the Russians cannot be intimidated by such decisions. Local officials do not realize that these illegitimate tricks only scare other states away. In fact, they fertilize doubts about the constructiveness of America’s current role in the world.

🗓 May 1 marks the 76th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our country and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. During the first years of Pakistan’s independence, the USSR rendered substantial economic assistance to the new state and supplied it gratis with tens of thousands tonnes of food grain. In the 1970s, the Soviet Union helped Pakistan launch the construction of its biggest Karachi Metallurgical Plant; the Muzaffargarh, Multan-2 and Guddu thermal power stations, and a radio station in the suburbs of Islamabad. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 Current Russia-Pakistan relations intensified in the 2000s. Our interaction is based on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests, as well as on the similar or almost identical approaches to key international issues. Moscow and Islamabad are jointly advocating the formation of a fairer and more democratic multipolar world order. 🤝 We highly value our constructive cooperation with Pakistan at the UN and the SCO which plays a major role in developing multilateral interaction in Greater Eurasia. Pakistan is also one of Russia’s key international partners in countering security challenges and threats. 📈 Russia and Pakistan are promoting trade and economic cooperation. In 2023, our bilateral trade exceeded $1 billion for the first time. We are ready to continue joint efforts on further strengthening ties between our states and peoples and developing mutually beneficial political, economic, educational, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. 🎊 We congratulate our colleagues from Pakistan on the anniversary of our bilateral relations! 📸 The iconic WWII photo “Victory Banner over the Reichstag” is widely known across the world as a symbol of the Soviet Victory over Nazi Germany. The photo was taken on May 2, 1945, by a Soviet photographer Evgeniy Khaldei after the last German troops defending the Reichstag had surrendered. 🇷🇺 What is less known, is that the Victory Banner featured in the photo was initially raised over the Reichstag on May 1 by three Soviet soldiers - Aleksei Berest, Mikhail Egorov and Meliton Kantaria - while the fierce battle for the Reichstag was still underway. On May 2, after the fighting had ceased, the red banner was relocated to the top of the building, marking the historic Victory. Shortly thereafter, the banner was taken down and transported to Moscow, where it was kept at the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the USSR for eternal preservation. 🌟 Today, visitors of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can only view one of the four official replicas of the Victory Banner. The original is stored in a special glass capsule in an underground vault of the museum to protect it from damage. 🇷🇺 In 2007, the Russian legislation conferred upon the Victory Banner the status of a state relic of the Russian Federation and the official symbol of the Victory of the Soviet people and its Armed Forces over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

8️⃣0️⃣ years ago, on May 1, 1944, an executive order of the USSR Presidium of the Supreme Soviet established the Medal For the Defence of Moscow. The Battle of Moscow was one of the largest of the Great Patriotic War. The fighting near the capital went on from September 30, 1941 to April 20, 1942. ☝️ Cadets of military schools as well as ordinary Muscovites joined the Red Army soldiers, rallying to defend the city. No capital in the world had ever given Hitler such a strong rebuff. ⚡️ The Battle of Moscow dispelled the myth about the Third Reich’s war machine being invincible, & thwarted the Nazi Germany’s ‘lightning war’ plan to defeat the USSR. The Medal For the Defence of Moscow immortalised the heroic deeds of all those who fought for the liberation of Moscow, conferred on them in acknowledgement of their unparalleled heroism during some of the most difficult days the Motherland faced. It was awarded to more than a million fearless defenders of Moscow (~1,028,600), including women & children. The award was also conferred on ordinary residents who defended the city. The medal was given to the military responsible for Moscow’s air defence & civilians who helped defend the city from enemy air raids. Military & civilian personnel who built defensive lines around the capital were also noted. 🖼 The future medal was based on a drawing by Nikolai Moskalyov, whose sketches were also used as the basis of many other Soviet awards. The medal’s exterior side depicts the Kremlin wall with a T-34 tank under it in the foreground, the monument to Minin & Pozharsky on the left, & a Kremlin tower on the right. The dome of the Government building rises above the wall with a hammer & sickle flag fluttering above. Along the upper circumference of the medal — the name of the medal. The lower half displays a laurel wreath, which is divided by a five-pointed star. The inscription on the reverse side reads: “For our Soviet Motherland,” with a hammer & sickle above it.   #Victory79

#Opinion ✍️ Rachel Marsden, columnist, political strategist, and host of independently produced talk-shows Pfizergate: Ursula von der Leyen’s shady Covid vaccine deals prove she can get away with anything Read in full • Skeptical members of the European Parliament have been demanding to know what kind of deal the bloc’s leadership actually signed with the manufacturers of anti-Covid injections. We’re talking about 11 contracts, 4.6 billion vaccines, and €71 billion of public money transferred to Big Pharma. So far, neither the citizens who paid for all of it, nor their elected representatives have been able to get full transparency on those deals. • More recently, individual EU member states have been left to do the litigation tango with Pfizer themselves, as the company sued them over failing to pay for doses that they didn’t need or want anymore now that they can’t force the jab on anyone or scare people into taking it. • The original Pfizer-EU contract was amended last year to reduce the original number of doses purchased, but Brussels told member states that they were still on the hook for having to pay a cancellation fee for each dose they no longer want. • Not that anyone has any idea what the original contract even was. Perhaps von der Leyen’s text messages could provide a clue. But they’ve magically vanished, & she doesn’t seem too interested in making an effort to recover them forensically. • It’s important for European democracy to be “safe and secure,” von der Leyen said in February in announcing a desire to remain on her throne after June’s EU parliamentary elections, in which she refused to run in her home country despite being encouraged to do so for petty reasons of democratic legitimacy. • Ursula von der Leyen talks a good game about transparency, despite demonstrating a tenuous personal grasp of the concept. Kind of like the entire EU does on a regular basis. Virtue-signaling democratic values while making a mockery of them is what makes this Queen the perfect reflection of her Kingdom.

📅 In the early hours of May 1, 1945, the #VictoryBanner was raised atop of the Reichstag during the Battle of Berlin. It became a symbol of the triumph of the Soviet Union & its peoples in the fight against Nazism. Before the storming, a decision was made for a group of Soviet fighters to hoist the flag over the Reichstag that would embody the final collapse of Nazism. 🚩 A total of 9 banners were promptly made, designed after the state flag of the USSR. Ultimately, a battle flag of the 150th Order of Kutuzov 2nd Class Idritsa Rifle Division, 79th Rifle Corps, 3rd Shock Army of the 1st Belarusian Front, became the Victory Banner. The order of events: • A Red Army unit broke into the Reichstag through breaches in the walls, with a fierce close combat unleashing. The Nazis took advantage of effectively advancing inside the building they new well, throwing grenades at Soviet soldiers & firing back with machine-guns: they basically had nothing to lose. • Lieutenant R.Koshkarbayev & private G.Bulatov placed a makeshift red flag to the column on the steps of the Reichstag main entrance. • Staff sergeants G.Zagitov, A.Lisimenko & A.Bobrov as well as Sergeant M.Minin supported by Captain S.Neustroyev’s battalion were the 1st to hoist a red banner on the roof of the Reichstag atop of the Goddess of Victory sculpture. • The 3rd red banner was raised on the western facade of the roof by the scouts of the 674th Regiment led by Lieutenant S.Sorokin. • Finally, the Red Banner №5 was raised over the dome of the captured Reichstag by the 756th Rifle Regiment’s scouts, Sergeant M.Yegorov & Junior Sergeant M.Kantariya, led by deputy battalion commander Lieutenant A.Berest, covered by riflemen from I.Sayanov’s squad. That flag ultimately became the Victory Banner. 📃 By a Presidential Executive Order of April 15, 1996, the Red Banner hoisted atop of the Reichstag by Yegorov & Kantariya was declared the symbol of the Russian people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. #Victory79

📅 On April 30, 1945, Soviet soldiers Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev & Grigory Bulatov raised the first Red Banner on the facade of the Reichstag. The distance between the former Himmler's house and the Reichstag was less than 500 metres. Bulatov & Koshkarbayev struggled for 7 hours, crossing this distance under heavy fire, with a makeshift flag - a flagpole with a simple scarlet cloth. According to the 150th Division's combat log, at 14:25 Bulatov & Koshkarbayev "crawled to the central part of the building and placed a red flag on the steps of the main entrance". It was the first of the banners the liberators raised over the Reichstag. 🎖 Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev & Grigory Bulatov were awarded the Order of the Red Banner for the courage and heroism during the assualt on the Reichstag. Monuments to Koshkarbayev have been erected in his home region of Akmola in Kazakhstan and in the republic's capital, Astana, and to Bulatov in Kirov. #Victory79

🗓️The European Parliament resolution adopted on 25 April 2024 on alleged “Russian interference” resembles a potboiler. It features “witch hunting” against political opponents, references to unknown intelligence sources, and even recounting cheap (well, who knows how much was paid by the sponsors) newspaper articles. One may read such text at night to forget it the next morning. Still, this yet another opus produced by the European Parliament– the second in one day – contains two elements that indicate the direction in which the European Union is heading. 1️⃣First, they want to cleanse completely the European information space. Today, under the guise of countering the “Russian threat”, MEPs are calling for the adoption of further sanctions against the Russian media. They do not mind that this violates the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The aim is to isolate ordinary Europeans from alternative sources of information and to create an information vacuum. Tomorrow, under someother equally fictitious pretext, they may voice similar frantic calls for restrictions against European media – merely because they do not share the views of the EU mainstream. And actually, such preparations are alreadyunder way. 2️⃣Second, they accuse Russia of spreading “false historical narratives”. Such loud claims serve to cover up their own attempts to revise the outcomes of the Second World War, the glorification of Nazism and a burning urge to “quietly” shed the burden of historical responsibility for the crimes committed and for collaborationism. But while today they are trying to target the country that liberated Europe from Nazi slavery, sooner or later “historical wrangling” may begin within the European Union.
