FDA Benchmark: CFD Modeling of a Centrifugal Blood Pump In an effort to improve and standardize the use of CFD modeling for the regulatory submissions of cardiovascular devices, the FDA developed two benchmark models of the fluid flow in a nozzle and a centrifugal blood pump.
