🇸🇳 Lake Retba They call it the “Pink Lake” and it’s not a joke. The water can turn bright pink thanks to microscopic algae called Dunaliella salina that produce pigment in super salty conditions. Salt levels can reach up to 40%, close to the Dead Sea. You can float effortlessly, and locals have been harvesting salt by hand for decades. The color gets strongest during the dry season, from November to June, sometimes it looks almost raspberry. No filters needed. #wonderful_world
