NYPD also have robodogs. In 2016, Dallas Police strappedΒ plastic explosivesΒ to a bomb-disposal bot to kill a sniper who had murdered five officers. In 2022, San Francisco Police was seeking permission to deploy lethal robots against human suspects. China has armored robodogs, France has robodogs that collect both visual and thermal data, and Australia's army is exploring the use of soldier's brain signals to control robodogs and other autonomous systems.
