20 Virtues For The Mother Of The Believers 'Āishah رضي الله عنها 1. She is the mother of the believers by way of the text of the Qurān: "and his wives are their mothers" [Al-Ahzāb:6] 2. She is the wife of the Prophet ﷺ in the Dunyā and in the hereafter. 3. The revelation did not come down upon the Prophet ﷺ in any house from the houses of his wives except for the house of 'Āishah رضي الله عنها. 4. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said about her: "I only know good about her". 5. When a matter would be problematic for the Sahābah رضي الله عنهم أجمعين, they would go to her and find with her knowledge (of the affair). 6. She is the most beloved of the wives of the Prophet to him ﷺ. 7. The Prophet ﷺ commanded Fātimah رضي الله عنها to love 'Āishah رضي الله عنها. 8. Harming 'Āishah رضي الله عنها is to harm the Messenger ﷺ. 9. The Prophet ﷺ made Du'ā for her that she receives forgiveness. 10. The Messenger's ﷺ marriage to 'Āishah رضي الله عنها was by way of revelation. 11. She was very jealous over the Messenger ﷺ. 12. Before the death of the Prophet ﷺ he requested to be nursed in her house. 13. The last of that which entered into the mouth of the Prophet ﷺ is the saliva of 'Āishah رضي الله عنها. 14. She has the most narrations from the female companions of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. 15. Her her innocence came down from above the seven heavens (in the Qurān) on the day of the (great) slander. 16. The Sahābah used to seek out her day in order to send their gifts due to their knowledge of the Prophet's ﷺ love for her. 17. The Prophet ﷺ was buried in her apartment. 18. The Prophet ﷺ conveyed to her the greetings of Salām from Jibrīl عليه السلام. 19. Her shyness reached the level of her not entering into her apartment after 'Umar رضي الله عنه was buried in there out of her shyness from him although he was deceased. 20.
