“Get married early and have your children very early. It is very beautiful when you are growing and your children are almost the same height as you.”
— An elder of the Methodist Church has urged members of the church’s Men’s Fellowship to consider marrying early rather than delaying marriage, and to have their children within shorter age gaps.
According to him, this enables men to fulfil their parental responsibilities earlier in life instead of spending their old age raising young children.

Edoho further explained that attempts to repair the marriage were unsuccessful despite periods of reconciliation. According to him, the relationship went through cycles of separation and return, but eventually broke down completely.
He also said both parties at different times tried to manage the situation privately for the sake of their children, but the marriage ultimately ended in divorce proceedings.
On the legal aspect, he claimed that disputes involving custody and financial responsibilities were part of the case, adding that he presented evidence in court while defending himself against allegations.
Edoho added that parts of the dispute later became public after materials linked to the case surfaced online, which he said contributed to renewed public attention. He also maintained that his earlier comments about “keeping malice” were misunderstood in wider discussions.

A United States federal court has sentenced Nigerian-born education executive Nkechy Ezeh to nearly six years in prison for stealing $1.4 million meant to support vulnerable preschool children and low-income families in Michigan.
Prosecutors said the funds were diverted from the Early Learning Neighbourhood Collaborative (ELNC), a non-profit organisation she founded, between 2017 and 2023. The fraud reportedly led to the collapse of the organisation, leaving 35 employees jobless and disrupting support for hundreds of children and families.
In addition to the 70-month jail term, Ezeh was ordered to repay the stolen funds and more than $390,000 in unpaid taxes after pleading guilty to tax evasion.
