Ruling on Praying Behind Sinful Reciters and the People of Innovation 📥Question📥 A Questioner says: “Is it permissible to pray behind reciters who are openly sinful?” 📤Answered by:📤 🎙 Ash-Shaykh Abū Amr Abdulkareem Al-Hajooree((حفظه الله)) Praying behind the people of innovation when people of the Sunnah are present is not permissible. If there is an Imām from Ahlus-Sunnah, even if he is from the common people of Ahlus-Sunnah, then he should be preferred, even if that innovating reciter is proficient in his recitation, while this Sunnī reciter only knows a few sūrahs and his recitation is good. Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) says: وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا “And make us leaders for the Muttaqûn [ Al-Furqān: {74} Prayer is an honour, and one should not increase the numbers of the people of innovation and the people of falsehood. Likewise, regarding a sinful reciter, if he is openly sinful and there is someone who is not sinful, even if he is an ordinary person, then he should be preferred. The Prophet ((ﷺ)) saw some spittle in the direction of the Qiblah of the mosque and said: “Let this man not lead you in prayer.” This ḥadīth is Ḥassan (good). This applies when there is someone more deserving of leading the prayer than him. However, if there is no one else besides him, then abandoning prayer behind an innovator when there is no one else from Ahlus-Sunnah is itself an innovation, as some of the Khawārij do. They say: “No, we will not pray behind this person,” even if he is a Ḥizbī (partisan) or an innovator. The Prophet ((ﷺ)) said: “Pray, for if they perform the prayer correctly, then the reward is for you and for them. But if they make mistakes, then the reward is for you and the sin is upon them.” Therefore, if there is no one in your village or community except that openly sinful reciter or that partisan reciter, and he is still a Muslim, then pray behind him and leave. Do not attend his lessons or lectures. Pray behind him and leave. We have Already discussed this matter in Al-Laʾālī Al-Marjāniyyah ʿlā Al-ʿAqeedah Aṭ-Ṭaḥāwiyyah. https://t.me/sh_aboamreng https://t.me/sh_aboamr/32044

Ruling on deducing the permissibility of placing donation boxes or electronic kiosks from hadīth of Jarīr (May Allāh be pleased with him). 📩Question📩 السلام عليكم ورحمة و بركاتة Our honorable Shaykh, may Allah bless you, preserve you, and protect you. Some of the brothers in charge of the mosque, especially the brother responsible for the administration of the mosque, mentioned that the Ḥadīth of Jarīr bin ʿAbd Allāh (May Allāh be pleased with them), in which the Prophetﷺ encouraged the Ṣaḥābah to give charity, so they gave charity until two heaps of food and clothing were gathered, indicates the permissibility of placing donation boxes inside or outside the masjid. They said:⤵️ The point of deduction and the evidence from this Ḥadīth is that the Prophet ((ﷺ)) encouraged people to give charity and gather it, which points to the permissibility of placing donation boxes in the Masājid or outside them, whether they are regular donation boxes or electronic devices which collect funds. So the question, may Allah bless you, our Shaykh, is: Is this deduction from the Ḥadīth correct? Does this Ḥadīth indicate the permissibility of placing donation boxes inside or outside the masājid? And is it permissible for us, being from ʾAhl us-Sunnah and the Salafiyyīn, to take this Ḥadīth as evidence for the legality of placing these boxes? We request your clarification and an explanation of the correct deduction from the Ḥadīth, and whether it is valid to apply it to this contemporary form of collecting donations. May Allāh reward you with good, and may Allah bless your knowledge and bring benefit through you. 📨Answered by📨 🎙Shaykh Abul Yamān 'Adnān Al-Masqari((حفظه الله)) The Prophet ((ﷺ)) indeed encouraged giving charity in the Masjid, but he commanded the people to give it (directly) into the hands of the poor while the poor were present (in the masjid), as is mentioned in the ḥadīth of Abū Sa'īd and Jarīr. The ḥadīth of Jarīr is found in Saḥiḥ Muslim (1017), and the ḥadīth of Abū Sa'īd is recorded by Imām Aḥmad. As for the Imām commanding the worshippers to give charity into his own hands and collecting the wealth with himself, this is not from the actions of Ahlus-Sunnah. Rather, it is from the actions of the ḥizbiyyīn and the people of innovation and desires. Translated by: ✍️ Abū Muḥammad Neẓām Follow link for audio source ⤵️ https://t.me/EngFatawaboxes_9_9_9_Bot

📮Placing an Electronic Donation Kiosk Outside or in Front of the Masjid📮 السلام عليكم ورحمة و بركاتة Shaykh. May Allāh bless you, preserve you, and protect you. We would like to ask about the ruling on placing an electronic donation box for the mosque, in the form of an electronic payment device placed at the entrance of the mosque or outside it, so that when the worshippers arrive, they can make donations through it to contribute towards the mosque’s expenses and needs, such as paying electricity and water bills, maintenance costs, and other similar necessities of the mosque. Is it permissible to place such a device and collect donations in this manner, or does this fall under the category of asking people for money and soliciting donations? May Allāh bless you and reward you with good. 📨 Answered by:📨 🎙Ash-Shaykh Abū Al- Yamaan Adnan Al- Masqaree((حفظه الله)) وعليكم السلام و رحمة و بركاتة People should donate and give charity without using donation boxes. These boxes [electronic donation boxes] are from the practices of charitable organizations [al-Jamʿiyyāt] and those affiliated with partisan groups [Ḥizbiyyah]. And this should not be done Wa lā Yanbaghī [it is not permissible].” https://t.me/EngFatawaboxes_9_9_9_Bot

The Ruling on Placing Electronic Donation Boxes Inside or Outside the Masājid and Collecting Donations from Worshippers بِسْــــــــــــــــمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمَٰــــــــنِ الرَّحِيــــــــمِ ﴾ A Brother asks, saying:⤵️ 📩Question:📩 السلام عليكم ورحمة و بركاتة Our Shaykh, may Allāh bless you, preserve you, and protect you. We would like to ask about the ruling on placing an electronic donation box for the masjid, whereby it would be an electronic payment device placed at the entrance of the masjid or outside it. When the worshippers arrive, they would be able to donate through it to contribute towards the expenses and needs of the masjid, such as paying electricity and water bills, maintenance costs, and other similar needs of the masjid. Is it permissible to place such a device and collect donations in this manner, or does this fall under the category of begging and asking people for money? May Allāh bless you.” 📨 Answered by📨 🎙Ash-Shaykh Abee Abdirahman Radman Al-Hubayshee ((حفظه الله)) و عليكم السلام و رحمة و بركاتة And may Allāh bless you as well. My noble brother, regarding placing an electronic donation box in the masjid, whether inside or outside it, the advice is that this should not be done. This is not from the actions or methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah. It is not from the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah, and Ahlus-Sunnah does not do this. This is the methodology of the Ḥizbiyyeen (partisans). There is a fatwā from our Shaykh, Imām Muqbil ibn Hādī Al-Wadi'ee (رحمه الله), in which he speaks about the donation boxes found in the masājid, whether they are for collecting donations or for the benefit of the masjid. He stated that this is the practice of the Ḥizbiyyeen, saying that they seize opportunities to collect money, as though they are concerned with nothing except collecting wealth. And they will be questioned about this before Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection. Source: ⤵️ The recording Al-Asʾilah As-Sūdāniyyah (The Sudanese Questions). And Shaykh Rabeeʿ (رحمه الله تعالى) said regarding placing donation boxes in the Masājid: ‘This is the methodology of the Ḥizbiyyeen. This is the methodology of the Ḥizbiyyeen and not the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah,’ he said. And begging is prohibited, meaning asking people for money, and it is not permissible except in cases of necessity. The basic ruling concerning begging is that it is prohibited. And the one who frequently asks people for money will come on the Day of Resurrection without a morsel of flesh on his face, meaning a piece of flesh. So this is the methodology of the Ḥizbiyyeen. As for the one who wishes to donate to the masjid without a donation box, he may come forward and give his donation. But as for begging, then no. End of the quotation from the recording: Taḥdhīr Ahl Al-ʿIlm Min Al-Aḥzāb As-Siyāsiyyah Al-Islāmiyyah Wa Al-Jamāʿāt Al-Muḥdathah Wa Rumūzihā (The Warning of the People of Knowledge Against Islamic Political Parties, Innovated Groups, and Their Prominent Figures.) In summary, may Allāh bless you, my noble brothers: Placing donation boxes in the Masājid is from the actions of the Ḥizbiyyeen. It is obligatory to stay away from that. It is obligatory to stay away from that. And we ask Allāh to grant us and all the Muslims success in attaining that which He loves and is pleased with. Indeed, my Lord is the All-Hearer of supplications. And all praise is due to Allāh, Lord of all that exists.” End of the Answer Wednesday, 3rd of Jumādā Al-Ūlā, 1448 AH.[ October 14/2026] The Telegram Channel of Our Shaykh: Abū ʿAbdur-Raḥmān Radmān Al-Hubayshee May Allāh grant everyone success in attaining all that is good. 👇🏻👇🏻 Translated by: Abū Zakariyyah SaadiQ https://t.me/Radman3Eng [https://t.me/Radmaan3](https://t.me/Radmaan3)

These practices are not from the actions of Ahlus-Sunnah. Rather, they are from the actions of the Ḥizbiyyeen (partisans), who consume the wealth of the Muslims through such practices. Meaning, through these actions, they consume the wealth of the Muslims. Therefore, this is not permissible, may Allāh bless you. It is not permissible. These practices were not known among the Salaf, neither during the time of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), nor after him, nor up until our present day. Such practices are only known among the people of Ḥizbiyyah (partisanship) and the associations. May Allāh bless you. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to engage in such practices. This should not be done. It is not from the practice of the people of knowledge to set up such donation boxes, whether they are the donation boxes used by the Ikhwān Al-Muslimeen (Muslim Brotherhood) or these electronic devices. This should not be done. Nor should one beg on behalf of the mosque, saying that the mosque needs this and needs that. No. However, if someone is known for doing good, he may be directed towards this good cause. And this is the House of Allāh, and Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He, will take care of its affairs, by His permission, Glorified and Exalted is He. As for a person doing such things, then this is begging, “This is an imitation of the Ikhwān Al-Mufliseen (the Bankrupt Brotherhood).” I mean, they are the ones known for doing such things, the people who run charitable organizations.
