This isn't fake. I’ve known him online for about 3–4 months and he’s a good friend of mine. Please help him out if you can.

We’ve been getting a lot of suggestions like “add an Apple-style frost effect”, “make the volume slider like Apple”, “use Apple-style background blur”, etc.
Honestly, I’m not interested in blindly making individual components look like Apple. If one component follows Apple’s design language while everything else follows a different style, the whole UI loses consistency.
We’re not trying to make an Apple Music clone.
I’d rather take our time, build our own design, and improve it gradually than keep copying individual parts of another product just because they look good.

LastWave Desktop v1.2.0 is here, bringing a big lyrics upgrade, playlist link imports, a cooler-running app and a lot of hardening under the hood.
• Many New Lyrics Providers: Five new sources race to find your lyrics — BetterLyrics word-sync, Lrc.Red, Kugou KRC word-sync, Musixmatch line-sync and SimpMusic video-matched.
• Smarter Lyrics Matching: Strict version-aware matching so "Song" never steals the lyrics of "Song (Interlude)"
• Cooler & Lighter: Background work now gates on minimized/hidden instead of focus — motion-art decode pauses, karaoke tickers mute and Discord presence narrows when the window is out of sight — and lyrics scrolling no longer burns CPU.
• Playlist Link Import: Paste a Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube playlist link and get a preview plus one-tap local import — no API keys needed, with short-link support, friendly errors and sensible caps.
• Linux Fixes: Global hotkeys now work on distros missing keybinder, and the AppImage no longer crashes off-Ubuntu
• Small Touches: Windows SMTC now shows the real app name and icon.

We’re looking for contributors !!
if you’re interested in working on the project more actively, you can join us as a full-time contributor.
you only need basic coding knowledge, nothing too advanced. using coding agents is completely fine too, so don’t worry about that.
and if you can’t contribute full-time, you can still help by opening PRs with fixes, features, or any improvements that can make the app better.
for any queries, dm me @sudo_solo

The Source: The app pulls standard lossy audio from YouTube, not a Hi-Res service.
The Trick: It decodes that YouTube audio on your phone and pads it with empty zero-bits (
writeLe24) to label it as "24-bit FLAC".
The File Size: A ~5 MB YouTube track balloons into a 30–40 MB file full of empty filler.
The Proof: The app's own code admits YouTube audio is lossy and just re-encoded locally.
The Security Leak: It exposes live Telegram bot tokens directly in the app code.
Also We've runned Frida hooks on rooted device confirm zero network requests for genuine FLAC streams; the app simply grabs lossy YouTube audio and locally pads it into an inflated, fake 24-bit FLAC container.5 854

Real 44.1 kHz lossless audio reaches all the way to ~22 kHz as u can clearly see in the second screenshot from LastWave.(Nyquist frequency).
This file dies instantly at 16 kHz(clearly visible in obsidian), which is classic 128 kbps lossy compression (web rip / low-tier stream) stretched inside a 24-bit wrapper.
Conclusion -: The file expands from ~3–4 MB (original lossy) to ~20–30 MB (24-bit FLAC), but that extra 90% file size contains zero acoustic information—it is literally padding and computational overhead storing silence and empty bits.
Special Thanks -: @Khabylame7 for providing files from app space from rooted device.

Pump OPUS even more and keep playing with users' trust. The repo barely has 250 stars, so I wasn't planning to expose them, but it's over now.
