Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has released a detailed statement regarding Dobando Upper Dir situation, according to statement, a siege was carried out on a police and CTD post in the Dobando Shahi Bagh area of Khas Dir, Upper Dir, with fighting continuing intermittently from the night of August 12 until the evening of August 13.
Key claimed details:
· Ambushes were set up on all routes leading to the post. · A convoy led by the DPO attempted to advance toward the besieged post, resulting in a clash in which several vehicles were reportedly destroyed and personnel killed or wounded. · A peace committee leader, Nisar Wardag, attempted to advance with his operatives but reportedly fled after being attacked. · The siege was lifted at 4:00 PM following the intervention of local elders. · Four weapons and other military equipment were reportedly seized. · A drone was reportedly shot down. · Four members of the peace committee were arrested; three were released on the surety of local elders, while one remains in custody. · The group claimed all its fighters remained safe.Warning issued:
The group reiterated that its war is against security agencies, not the nation, and urged residents not to become part of the conflict.
