Here is why: In their December 2025 projections, Anthropic and OpenAI foresaw combined ARR of $61 billion for end-year 2026. We are halfway through the year and their combined ARR has surpassed $100 billion. So, their capacity procurements have fallen short of what they need right now, especially for Anthropic. This is why they are willing to pay premium for excess compute as they can monetize incremental compute faster and better than they expected. This is what creates the “short-term & large-scale” compute market. Companies like $META and $SPCX want to operate in this market rather than becoming contract infrastructure builders like neoclouds. These two are wildly different businesses. However, we can naturally expect that some of the downstream pricing power $META and $SPCX have will flow upstream as well and neocloud contract rates will also go up. Bullish for $CRWV and $NBIS.
