The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “If a man among my Ummah drinks Khamr (intoxicants), Allah will not accept his prayer for forty days.” — Sunan an-Nasa’i 5664 (Sahih) (sunnah.com) This is a serious warning about the consequences of consuming intoxicants. “Not accepted” does not mean that the person should stop praying; the prayer remains obligatory. Rather, scholars explain that the person is deprived of its reward while still being required to perform it. (aliftaa.jo) The door of repentance remains open. A believer should leave what Allah has prohibited, sincerely repent, and return to Him.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ wrapped his head during headache. Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما narrated that during his final illness, the Prophet ﷺ came out with his head wrapped in a bandage. Sahih al-Bukhari 3628 (Sunnah) In Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah (vol. 8, p. 568, ḥadīth no. 17), it is narrated that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported seeing the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) enter the mosque with a cloth tied around his head due to a headache 🔬 Modern evidence: A clinical study of 25 migraine patients tested firm scalp compression using a headband. Of the 69 headaches assessed, 60 (87%) experienced pain relief. The researchers concluded that mechanical compression of the scalp can provide temporary relief from migraine pain. (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) Hadith from over 1,400 years ago. Clinical evidence today supports that head compression can relieve headache pain in some people. #Islam #Hadith #Sunnah #ProphetMuhammad #science

‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘There is no God but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belong the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things. All praise is due to Allah, glory be to Allah, there is no God but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no movement or might but by Allah,’ then he says, ‘O Allah, forgive me,’ or he supplicates to be answered, then if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1154 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Bukhari

5. And they were not commanded (in their scriptures) except to worship Allāh (alone), being sincere to Him in religious devotion, being upright and inclined (to truth) and to establish the prayer and to give obligatory charity. And that is the upright, correct religion. 2. Verily, We have sent down the Book to you (O Muḥammed ﷺ) in truth: So worship Allah (Alone) by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only, (and not to show-off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). 3. Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. 11. Say (O Muḥammed ﷺ): "Verily, I am commanded to worship Allah (Alone) by obeying Him and doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only and not to show off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship [Zumar] وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ, إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ 19. Without (there being) anyone who has done a favour to him for which recompense is expected. 20. But (he gives) only seeking (to see) the Face of his Lord, Most High (in Paradise). 9. (While saying:) “Indeed, we feed you seeking only (the pleasure of seeing) Allāh’s Face. We do not wish from you any reward and nor gratitude.” 20. Whosoever desires (with his deeds) the reward of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his reward, and whosoever desires the reward of this world (with his deeds), We give him thereof (what is written for him), and he has no portion in the Hereafter. Rāghīb Asbahānī (d.425) said : The pure الخالص is like the clear الصافي, except that the pure is what has been freed from its impurities after they were present in it, while the clear can be said to be what has no impurities in it. It is said : I purified it, and it became pure خلصته فخلص. Therefore, the poet said : The purity of wine from the weaving of the vine Allāh ﷻ says : So when they despaired of him, they secluded themselves in private. Meaning they isolated themselves, free from others. And we are sincere in our devotion to Him. Indeed, he is among Our chosen servants The sincerity إخلاص of Muslims is that they have disavowed what the Jews claim of anthropomorphism and what the Christians claim of the Trinity. Sincere to Him in religion.

They have certainly disbelieved who say : “Allāh is the third of three.” And they devoted their religion to Allah It is like the first one. Indeed, he was devoted and was a messenger, a prophet Therefore, the essence of sincerity is to disassociate from everything other than Allāh ﷻ. — Mufradāt Alfādh Qur'ān, p.p 292-293, edition Dār Qalam —

After speaking about the basics regarding the Sunnī positions related to 'Ibādah's definition, examples and its relation to one's Belief, we shall and must also clarify the conditions of worship and its pillars. Let's start with the two conditions of : 1. Ikhlāṣ (Sincerity) 2. Itibā' (Following) (Obviously, one needs to be Muslim in order for his actions to be considered to be a valid type of worship.)

In sum, the conclusion we can logically come to is that worship doesn't need to be defined with the necessity of believing in the lordship of the thing/person you worship. In other words, ألوهية doesn't always mean ربوبية. The coherent premises that guided me to this conclusion are : 1. Although there might be a link between the religious definitions of إله god and رب lord, there is no linguistic unity between the two, i.e there's no single arabic dictionnary that uses the word رب as a synonym for إله, or vice-versa. (FYI :In the case of Allāh ﷻ, the ألوهية can be associated with ربوبية — or sometimes just be a synonym to it — but that logically and religiously makes sense due to Allāh ﷻ being the true رب Lord, i.e Sustainer, Creator, Owner, etc. Therefore, if Allāhﷻ has the true ربوبية lordship, then he must deserve every form of veneration, love, fear and etc, i.e ألوهية worship.) 2. In the case of Ibrāhīm عليه السلام, the ever-lasting word — mentioned in Qur'ān 43:26-28 — is his innocence from the Shirk of his people, which was worshipping other than Allāh ﷻ. In the Tafsīr tradition, the Salaf explained this ever-lasting word as the testimony of لا إله إلا الله, so it means : There's no being worthy of worship in truth except Allāh ﷻ (I say 'in truth' because the beings worshipped by Ibrāhīm عليه السلام's people were called آلهة, according to the language). Therefore, ألوهية doesn't mean ربوبية. 3. In the case of Mūsā عليه السلام, his people tried asking for an idol to venerate — mentioned in Qur'ān 7:138 — and when they called it آلهة, they didn't mean except worshipped beings, not seperate أرباب lords beside Allāh ﷻ, according to the Salaf's explanation. 4. In the story of the Calf, the Samaritan — mentioned in Qur'ān 20:88-89 — called it إله and he couldn't mean by it a رب since he certainly knows that he made it with his own hands, so that calf couldn't be able to bring any benefit nor remove any harm. 5. The message of the Prophets generally, and that of Prophet Muḥammed ﷺ specifically, all came to establish the message of Tawḥīd, which is to single out Allāh ﷻ in worship ألوهية, not his lordship ربوبية.

(NB : After the man from the polytheists did Takbīr, Prophet Muḥammed ﷺ said about this person : 'He's upon Fiṭrah (Natural Inclination in accepting Allāh ﷻ's existence and lordship).' Despite that, Prophet Muḥammed ﷺ only said he's safe from the fire after saying the Shahāda, which includes the statement Therefore, we can conclude that : For one to become muslim, Affirming that Allāh ﷻ is the Creator and Sustainer of the creation isn't enough, but one must say he's the only being truly worthy of worship. —This is a proof against the necessity to define 'Ibādah/Tawḥīd with the belief in one's lordship. — Its also a proof against those who translate لا إله إلا الله as 'There's no god/creator/sustainer except Allaah جل جلاله' since this polytheist already believed in that. — Fitrah includes one's natural belief in Allaah جل جلاله's existence and basic attributes of ربوبية Lordship, therefore no one can be Muslim unless he accepts Allaah جل جلاله is the only deity worthy of worship in truth.)

164. Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day (and their variation in length), and the ships that sail through the sea with what benefits mankind (of produce and merchandise), and what Allāh sent down from the heaven of rainwater, giving life to the earth thereby, after its death, and dispersing every (type of living and moving) creature therein, and the directing of the winds, and the clouds suspended between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason. [Baqara] — Accepting that the creatures they worshipped were nothing but intermediaries between them and Allāh ﷻ, in order to get closer to him. 94. And truly you have come unto Us alone (without wealth, companions or anything else) as We created you the first time. You have left behind you all that which We had bestowed on you. We see not with you your intercessors whom you claimed to be partners with Allah. Now all relations between you and them have been cut off, and all that you used to claim has vanished from you.
