Hey community, I hope everyone is doing well. I want to talk about something many traders don’t want to hear: capital and risk management. If you’re trading Gold with $10, $20, $50 or even $100, don’t approach that account expecting to make serious income. Use it mainly to practice, build discipline and understand the market. Gold is extremely volatile. With very small capital, even normal market movement can represent a huge percentage of your account. If you make $10 from a $20 account, that’s 50% of your starting capital. Chasing returns like that usually means taking extremely high risk. For people copying my trades, I recommend at least $300 so there is more room for risk management. If you’re trading independently, I personally prefer seeing traders build toward $500 or more before focusing seriously on returns. $500+ gives you more breathing room. $1,000 gives you better flexibility. $2,000, $5,000, $10,000 and above gives you more capital to work with, but remember: bigger capital does not guarantee bigger profits. Risk management still comes first. Trading is risky at every account size. More capital can make position sizing easier, but it never removes the possibility of losing money.
