Title: Odoo Developer Survival Mode Being an Odoo developer on 2 hours of sleep is a different kind of character development. At this point, I am not sleeping. I am simply restarting my operating system for 2 hours every night. My daily routine: 1. Open Odoo. 2. Stare at Python until the Python starts staring back. 3. Drink something. 4. Become a legally recognized zombie. 5. Fix one bug. 6. Run TestDemoSeed. 7. 0 failed, 0 error(s). 8. Experience genuine happiness for the first time in 24 hours. 9. Smile at the green test result like I just won a Nobel Prize. 10. Run the entire test suite. 11. Everything explodes. 12. Emotional damage. 13. Question every architectural decision I have made since birth. 14. Continue coding because apparently this is my life now. The funniest part is that my happiness has become extremely cheap. I don't need money. I don't need entertainment. I don't need a vacation. I just need to see: `TestDemoSeed passed cleanly with 0 failed, 0 error(s).` GREEN. PERFECT. PEACE. For approximately 11 seconds. Then I run the full suite and Odoo reminds me that happiness was never part of the requirements. Meanwhile, my sleep schedule is so destroyed that if you ask me what time it is, I genuinely need to check whether I mean AM, PM, or which dimension we are currently operating in. I used to have dreams while sleeping. Now I have dreams while debugging. At this point, I am not developing Odoo. Odoo is developing me.

Brother & Sis: They are my younger ones whom I met in the community, and they are real and genuine. That’s what created that feeling. Chill Panda: He is a relaxed person, and he is cool. The panda came from his profile. ZZZZ: I liked her name and made the tag similar. Sensei: He deserved it. Anime Girl: She is the coolest girl I know. She earned the tag after we talked about anime in the group one day.

I sent a note I took while reading a book that said “kelalun neger atakabd” above, and the English version is attached under it. Please read it; it will help shape your perspective on a lot of things, inshAllah. When you become calm, know your priorities, have the right niyah, and develop the right mindset, I believe your days will have more berekah, and you’ll be able to accomplish a lot more every day. Additionally, I believe there is no boundary between yedunya guday and ye Akhira guday for us. We live for Akhira, and this dunya is just the path we walk through. So every single thing we do should bring us closer to the ultimate goal. Have the right niyah, and make your learning, eating, sleeping, smiling, relationships—the whole of your life—something you get ajr for.

And about being a jack of all trades or a master of one, this should be an open discussion, not something I decide. But I think it really depends on your personality type. For example, I’m a multitasker. I can’t focus and be successful on one thing; I do things better when I have a lot of things at hand. And there are others who take one thing, work for it like hell, and become the elite of that area. So the first move is to know yourself and understand what systems work for you. And about keeping a balance between faith, learning, and relationships, I’m still working on it. There are days when I code so deeply that the whole day passes without me flipping one page of Quran, and years can pass without hanging out with my friends. So I’m still bad at balancing. But the more I take life easily and become calmer, the better I’m getting.

Allahuma barik 🥰 And on how to get back to your studies, I think the best approach is to surround yourself with people who do that. The power of environment is not something you can underestimate. I can assure you, I have become better after opening this channel and surrounding myself with people who build both physically and digitally. About your nikab, Allahuma barik 🥰 yene ye Allah zenach ❤️‍🔥. I also chose this field because it gives me the freedom to work from home, which helps me avoid a lot of fitna. About the universities you mentioned, I can't say anything because I don't have the information. Regarding scholarships, I heard that most AAU students receive one, so choosing AAU may be beneficial in this case. As for taking a gap year, I want to ask why? If you want to take a gap year for a better reason, such as a priority you want to achieve before starting university, it may be a good idea, as taking a year-long gap after joining the university or after graduating will not be easy. However, if it is because you are afraid of university, just forget that fear and listen to the software guys' recent podcast you don't have to know anything or feel enough before starting or getting into something.

I hope your results turned out great first of all 😇 And about software or tech-related fields being competitive, I’m not sure from which perspective you mean. If you’re talking about getting the department in universities, then yes, it’s competitive. I’m from ASTU, and around 90% of fresh students want SW, but only 200 people make it. However, this is nothing if you study deeply for a week before mid and final exams. You can make it above 3.5, not just get SW. I’m saying this because you haven’t experienced the university environment yet. Eventually, you’ll ace exams with only 3 or 4 hours of study. But if you mean software is competitive in terms of the field and work opportunities, remember that the future is heading toward digitalization, and many tech-related careers will be created. Getting into tech ASAP is a good move. And God has already decided your part in this world—you just have to find it. What’s yours will never be taken by others.

I step back, stay quiet, wait, get closer to Allah, and do whatever keeps me grounded. I’ve worked on this mentality for a long time. When life gets so difficult that I wish I could disappear, I remind myself: remember the last time you thought the pain would never end? It did. This will too. So I wait—a day, a week, a month, or a year. I make dua, stay grounded, and let time do its work. Build this mentality. Some storms are survived simply by staying until they pass. But if i am in the situation where i can get out just by saying no or enough...i definitely will and i don't care about ppls in this case.

It's the Quran, but it works differently for me. I read a book about business or psychology that helps me learn and understand something, and then when I return to the Quran, I find that concept between its verses. So, the Quran is the summary of all the books I read.
