— 🇲🇦 Morocco has raised the ceiling for defence-related financial commitments in its draft 2027 budget, to develop a domestic military industry and gradually move away from reliance on imported equipment towards national manufacturing, maintenance and technology transfer.
Under the draft Finance Law, expenditure commitments for the National Defense Administration and related obligations have been set at around 190.5 billion dirhams ($19.05 billion).
The figure includes appropriations to be opened in 2028 under a financial mechanism used to acquire and repair military equipment and support the development of the defence industry.
