π€ Vitaliy Buterin explores a breakthrough that could reshape cryptography.
β The Ethereum co-founder has published the second part of his research on program obfuscation β a technique that turns software into a "black box," allowing it to run normally while making its internal logic and secrets extremely difficult to uncover.
β If this approach becomes both practical and secure, it could replace many existing cryptographic tools and enable applications that require little to no trust in intermediaries.
β In the latest paper, Buterin focuses on diamond iO, a new construction designed to make obfuscation significantly more efficient.
β Previous state-of-the-art methods required what researchers jokingly called "galactic" computation time. Diamond iO brings that down to "planetary" scale β still far from practical, but billions of times more efficient.
β The key innovation is a much more direct design, avoiding complex protocol stacks. The trade-off is that diamond iO relies on newer mathematical assumptions that haven't yet been tested as extensively.
β Real-world deployment is still years away, but Buterin compares its current stage to the early days of zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, which once seemed impractical and are now widely used across the crypto industry.
β If researchers continue improving diamond iO, it could eventually unlock fully private voting systems, confidential computation, and many other trust-minimized applications alongside blockchain technology.

What's Next for ETH? π
The chart still looks strong and technically healthy. We've successfully broken out of the current range, so I'll be watching for a pullback into the liquidity and imbalance zones below. If price reacts as expected, I'll be looking to continue trading the bullish market structure.
Above, there are still BSL liquidity pools that I want to see taken.
The key now is to hold the current levels throughout the day. A weak daily close could turn this move into another liquidity sweep instead of confirming the breakout. π
