The Very First Blockchain Project is Bitcoin (2009) January 3, 2009 → Satoshi Nakamoto mined the Genesis Block (Block 0) as you already learned in yesterday's learning post. This single block officially launched the world’s first blockchain. No company. No CEO. No permission needed. It solved the biggest problem in digital money: double-spending without banks. Bitcoin wasn’t just a coin it was the first real Web3 product ever created. Everything we use today (DeFi, NFTs, smart contracts, Layer 2s) exists because of this one project. This is where the entire blockchain story began.
