my dear ronaldo i genuinely don’t even know what to say rn. i never thought i’d have to see you say goodbye to portugal like this, especially after everything you’ve done for that shirt. like how did it even get to this point?? i never thought you’d be made to feel like you weren’t valued or respected enough, and honestly i still can’t wrap my head around it. portugal was never the same before you. you gave that team a whole identity, made people believe in them, carried them through so many moments and gave absolutely everything every single time you stepped on that pitch. you didn’t just play for portugal, you gave your whole heart to it. you gave them everything you had. and after all that, this is how you’re treated?? how can someone who’s done so much for their country be made to feel like they don’t even matter? how can they not see your value? how can they forget everything you’ve given them? you deserved so, so much more than this. i’m genuinely so hurt and disappointed. i don’t think i’ll ever look at some of these players the same way again. maybe i’m being too emotional about it, but seeing someone who means this much to football being treated like this actually breaks my heart. whatever happens from now on, i just hope you know there are still so many people who will always appreciate you, love you and remember everything you did for portugal. your legacy is yours forever. nobody can take away the goals, the trophies, the memories, the moments or everything you gave to this country. thank you for everything, cristiano. genuinely. thank you for every goal, every celebration, every memory and every single time you gave your all until the very end. thank you for giving us so many years of unforgettable football. i’ll always be grateful for you. i’ll always love you. and no matter what anyone says, you’ll always be one of the greatest to ever do it 🤍.
