no matter how bad life gets there is always something good. you have to focus on the good.

before u even touch the keyboard, grab a pen & paper and do this checklist (trust me, saves you from headache later 😂)… 1. git init first version control from day one. and yeah, throw your secrets (keys, configs) in .gitignore. 2. pick your architecture feature-based, clean arch, whatever. just decide early so your code doesn’t turn into noodles later. 3. plan your screens & states write down what pages you need, how you’ll manage state, and how users will flow through the app. 4. navigation setup I roll with GoRouter → clean & future-proof. pick yours and lock it in. 5. add your packages drop everything you’ll need into pubspec.yaml now. saves “oh wait I need this” moments later. 6. set the base vibe themes, colors, constants, env configs, APIs… get all that sorted before jumping to features. then start building... this way u avoid messy codes and later rework.. trust me learned this the hard way, don’t be me 😂

Some Flutter-based questions I remember from an interview with a well-known fintech company (not a recent one). Honestly, the questions were quite basic and a little unexpected 😅: 1 What do you use for state management and why? 2 Local database options (Hive vs SQLite). 3 Difference between stateful and stateless widgets. 4 Difference between Future and Stream. Just sharing in case it helps someone preparing 👨‍💻🚀

Is 9–5 really good for us developers, especially in Ethiopia? Honestly, I don’t think so. Here’s why: you wake up early, pack your stuff, and line up for taxis .. usually two if you’re in Addis. By the time you reach the office, you’re already drained. Then comes lunch, and before you know it, it’s 5:00 and time to head back home through the same stressful commute. The funny part? They’ll still expect you to continue working once you’re home. So it makes me wonder why even be in the office if I’m not getting real guidance or support there in the first.. @we_flutter

It’s true though .. sometimes holding on to the wrong people is like waiting for a month that won’t move you forward.

so yeah… I started Flutter a while ago, but honestly, I’m still a learner . After breaking a bunch of apps and Googling way too much, I decided, ‘you know what? Let’s start from scratch and actually learn this properly.’ So here I am, diving back in, making mistakes, crying over widgets, but slowly (very slowly) turning into someone who might one day know what they’re doing ...
