Another bit of vent journalling, though with a littlespace spin. So many of you know I gave in my resignation at my job a while back. It was a difficult decision, with life circumstances and health to blame. What I didn't share is they begged me to stay on until the end of my contract (tomorrow!). They gave me a project to try and finish, with the understanding I could only work a little bit each day. Oh my goodness. Trying to do programming while I'm still so deep in the throes of brain damage has been such a frustrating and physically painful experience, leading to a plethora of seizures from overworking my brain, and persistent cognitive fatigue. I am doing MUCH better than I was back in Feb/March. Speech therapy has helped a lot — before I couldn't really look at text for more than a few moments without feeling this crushing band of pressure on the back of my skull and my vision going cloudy. Now I can listen to audiobooks and look at pictures for almost forever, casual text with magnification up for a quite a while, and read for maybe an hour or so in a book. Numbers and programming still allude me. I still have dyscalculia from the brain damage, and the way code blocks work both in terms of cramped text, indents, and lateral displays causes my brain to go funky, my vision to cross (literally I will see severely double until I sleep a decent length again) and the level of thought processing to do something like a pipeline or analysis causes cognitive pain and fatigue and completely tanks my seizure threshold. Still! I got it done. But it did feel like this image the entire way. 🤩🧸🐣

Some of that art journaling I mentioned a few days ago. About nothing in particular and everything in particular. This year just keeps going on and on. ❗️ A bit of an announcement. ❗️ ⬆️↗️➡️↘️⬇️↙️⬅️↖️ Teldra (she/her) and I (they/them) will be tying the knot with a small collection of family on September 4th. 🤩 💍 🤩 We are actually already married, but we wanted to have a mini ceremony more to celebrate our loved ones. 🤩 💍 It is bittersweet — the main driving factor was the role our parents will play, and with Mom's passing, it has been grueling and painful to get to this point and push onward. I wanted to postpone, but if this year has taught me anything it's that we don't know who will still be with us if we delay another year. However, with the date growing close, I'm borderline excited again! 🤩 As such, there will be a hiatus in my queue in the weeks around it!
