Final update: I gave some feedback in the email I sent before writing that last post about how I find it unreasonable to charge for a repair (including the fact that it was not mentioned before I committed to sending it back to them), though I did pay for what they asked because I just had enough. They responded with what I would ask from my side, and I said what was reasonable. The repair for free, the shipping cost just to send it back to me and the difference for the downgrade to clear lenses from transparent. No handouts or anything like that. They responded today that they agreed. So in the end I will be refunded for the repair, it will have to be clear lenses (which is OK, I can probably figure out a way to add something myself). Thought I'd mention to be fair, as I was complaining before. It still had to go through a lot of back and forth to get to this point, though, and it doesn't change what has already happened until now, but it is something.

Anyway, I don't want the rant to be the last post in the channel so:

Rant time: Blackstyle asked for 30€ to "repair" the lenses into transparent, when they basically both sold something defective and they refuse to fix the reflective lenses for which they charged more than transparents ones, and all shipping costs on me. I asked them what the motivation behind asking for money is and they gave me a bunch of excuses it was not a manufacturing defect but the lenses are sensitive and this is why they stopped selling them, that they "escalated it to the team leader" and because my satisfaction is so valuable, they cut the repair costs in half. Basically, not only do you lose the extra money you paid for the lenses, not only do we not take accountability for our mistake, pay all the shipping, pay us repair, and here's 15€ so you shut up. It's been a recurring joke that blackstyle's quality and service had gone down but until now I thought it was just an exaggerated joke
