Esoteric National Socialism is a school of thought that seeks the spiritual, mythical, and symbolic dimension of the movement, beyond its political or military aspects.
Its roots lie in earlier currents: Ariosophy, Germanic paganism, Theosophy, and the occult circles that existed in early 20th-century Germany. Men like Guido von List, Lanz von Liebenfels, and Rudolf von Sebottendorf were precursors who blended esotericism with the idea of ββan ancestral Aryan tradition.
The National Socialist party itself had figures linked to this world: Rudolf Hess, the "occultist National Socialist," and Heinrich Himmler, who imbued the SS with a symbolism and spirituality that went beyond the purely military. Ariosophic esotericism gave the movement emblems, rituals, and a dimension of fanaticism that cannot be understood solely from a political perspective.
Ignoring this dimension mpoverishes our understanding of National Socialism. Authors like Eric Kurlander, in his work Hitler's Monsters, demonstrate that we cannot understand the Third Reich without considering the role of the occult, Norse paganism, and all kinds of pseudoscience that permeated the culture of the time.
It is about understanding that National Socialism had a spiritual dimension that official history has buried or ridiculed.
WHY STUDY IT?
1. For intellectual honesty: We cannot claim a tradition if we ignore a part of it.
2. For depth: Politics without spirit is empty. Esotericism can provide a foundation for the idea of ββ"blood and soil" that goes beyond biology, connecting with a cyclical vision of history where humanity has a destiny that transcends the material.
