Recent events in Belfast and Dublin have brought home to Irishmen the stark reality they face: their gradual displacement under the New Plantation spanning the entire island. Irishmen the island over are finding themselves victimised under twin regimes, both dedicated to reducing them to cringing, second-class citizens, made to be content to watch as a motley horde of the world's population takes their birthright from them and, even potentially, their lives. In such circumstances, what is the purpose of holding on to partitionist mindsets that set our people against one another and lead men from Finglas and Ballymurphy to treat each other as aliens rather than as a single people, unified by blood and history? 1/2
