In the afternoon, the President and party arrived at the construction site of the entrance road to the Central Fire Services Training School on Mandalay-Lashio Road and inspected construction works while the union minister for construction and officials reported to the President on construction of the new road. After hearing the reports, the President gave instructions on completion of construction work before the rainy season, construction of conduits for proper drainage along the road, the need to grow shady and windbreak trees in the road area and others. Then, the President inspected road and bridge construction works along the road and viewed the inside of the fire services training school by car. Afterward, the President arrived at the Yadanabon Teleport Building in Yadanabon New City Project near Pyinsa Village and Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant reported to the President on salient points of the project, implementation of instructions of the Head of State given during his visit to the new city project in December, 2025, implementation plans and measures taken for construction of roads and water and electricity supply. Union Minister for Transport and Union Minister for Digital Development and Communications U Mya Tun Oo reported to the President on organizing the Digital Myanmar Technological Conference and exhibition and outcomes and greening tasks for the new city project area. After hearing the reports, the President pointed out the needs to implement solar electricity generation tasks to supply water and electricity in the new city project area, to construct earth-quake-resistant buildings, to utilize water resources fully for greening the project area, for relevant ministries to take measures for development of digital, IT and AI development in the project area, for participating companies to manufacture equipment to support development of digital, IT and AI only, to take measures for facilitation of provision of staff quarters, transport and administrative matters, to develop a master plan systematically and to carry out greening tasks after developing the master plans and gave instruction on other requirements. Afterward, the President and party inspected the new city project area by car.

Similarly, as the rainy season has arrived, it is necessary to ensure proper drainage in waterways and continuously carry out waste clearance. Regarding education, PyinOoLwin has a strong and long-standing tradition of academic excellence. Around 25 percent of schools in the town are privately operated and are making significant efforts to enhance educational standards. Government schools should likewise support the advancement of the education sector, and all schools must be managed systematically in accordance with established rules and regulations. Students should be taught the full curriculum prescribed for their respective grade levels so that they gain a thorough understanding of the subjects they study. We must nurture children into educated and disciplined young people who possess patriotism, love for their country, and respect for others. Improving school enrollment rates and expanding access to higher grade levels will make a major contribution to the personal development of our children and to the future progress of the nation. Therefore, decisive action is needed. During our term in office, we will place special emphasis on the education sector. In the 2026–2027 fiscal year, 6.92 percent of the State budget will be allocated to the Ministry of Education for educational development. When education-related expenditures by other ministries are included, the total allocation will reach 9.22 percent of the State budget. In the following fiscal year, at least 10 percent of the State budget will be devoted to education, with the share rising to 15 percent in subsequent years and reaching 20 percent within the five-year term of our government. Accordingly, we aim to make PyinOoLwin a model town for educational development. Regarding the sports sector, the district sports ground is currently being renovated, and there is a need to develop recreation areas, parks, and sports facilities in every ward. Such infrastructure will help children and young people improve their health and physical fitness thro-ugh regular physical activities. To further promote sports among youth, efforts should begin at the basic education school level. It is also important to systematically develop sports fields, play-grounds, and recreational spaces across all wards to support wider participation in sports and community well-being. A public movement should be encouraged to promote the construction of sanitary latrines and water closets in rural areas. At the same time, libraries need to be established and expanded. Every middle school and each village should have access to a library. It is also important to ensure that these libraries are well-stocked with books that enhance knowledge and practical skills. In addition, reading promotion activities should be organized to foster a stronger reading culture among the public. Such efforts will not only support learning beyond formal education but will also contribute to increasing the number of knowledgeable and skilled individuals in society. MSMEs can run operations when they have raw materials, capital, inputs and human resources. Even developed countries can enjoy economic growth based on SMEs and they are continuing to do so. It is necessary to develop foodstuff industries by using local raw materials and to manufacture consumer products needed in the domestic market. By boosting domestic production and ex-porting products to other countries, foreign exchange incomes will increase. The government will encourage the development of MSMEs. As towns are parts of the State, making efforts for development of each town amounts to building a better country and I would like to urge local residents and departmental staff to make concerted efforts for development of their towns. After the meeting, the President and party inspected the products and local foodstuffs manufactured by MSMEs in PyinOoLwin and gave necessary instructions on reports of officials.

Following this, the President discussed matters regarding the development of the PyinOoLwin region, noting that during his previous visits to PyinOoLwin, he observed a need for systematic city roads, leading to the upgrading of five major roads in Wards 8 and 10, which have now been successfully opened. He mentioned that PyinOoLwin is inhabited by both locals and those who have relocated from other regions. He emphasized that just as the State is working for the development of PyinOoLwin, residents them-selves must also cooperate. He added that it is necessary to continuously maintain their respective homes and compounds to ensure cleanliness, neatness, and greenery. He noted that if one compares the PyinOoLwin region to its condition about two decades ago, it can be clearly seen that it has developed significantly. He added that PyinOoLwin is a city blessed with a naturally cool, pleasant climate and is an excellent place to live. There-fore, he is establishing policies to transform PyinOoLwin into a healthcare city. He also observed that as the urban population grows denser, daily waste disposal increases accordingly. Consequently, he emphasized the need to utilize this discarded waste effectively for activities such as generating electricity required for the city. He stated that as PyinOoLwin is a tourist city, improving its environmental cleanliness and scenic beauty will attract a greater number of domestic and international visitors, there-by enhancing its reputation as an excellent travel destination. He noted that to supply the food requirements of both visiting tourists and local residents, measures must be taken to ensure the sufficient local production of meat, fish, and eggs. He added that to make PyinOoLwin appealing to visitors, local food products, traditional clothing, snacks, and regional crops should be sold at reason-able prices, and the city’s reputation should be promoted through good hospitality and friendly services. He also stated that PyinOoLwin is a region where various flowers and seasonal crops thrive, and it is also highly suited for growing cherry trees. He noted that this is why PyinOoLwin is affectionately referred to as the Cherry City or the Flower City. He emphasized that in maintaining its status as a flower city, efforts must be made to cultivate native flower species more successfully. Similarly, he mentioned that plum cultivation has been carried out since the past and has served as a signature product of PyinOoLwin. He urged officials to make arrangements to increase the cultivation and production of plums even further. He added that the production of other orchard crops, including avocado, orange, and macadamia, must also be expanded. Furthermore, as mulberry trees thrive in the area, silk thread production industries based on mulberry cultivation can be undertaken, which can be developed as a long-term signature product of the PyinOoLwin region. Regarding livestock breeding, he noted that the PyinOoLwin region has long been well-known for its production of milk and dairy products, which are found to be of high quality. He explained that as the country has to import milk and dairy products from abroad every year, it is necessary to improve dairy cow farming. Therefore, he expressed his desire to see dairy cow breeding industries developed and expanded furth-er in the PyinOoLwin region. He stressed that environmental conservation works in the PyinOoLwin region must be carried out continuously. Noting that forests and trees maintain cool temperatures, he urged officials to supervise the planting and conservation of forests and trees. He stated that tree planting must be carried out using a system where every planted tree survives. By conserving forests and trees, a balanced climate can be established and water resources can be pre-served. While the State is working to ensure a sufficient water supply for PyinOoLwin, water must be used efficiently.

All-inclusive efforts needed for town development as undertakings for town-wise development amounts to building a better country Nay Pyi Taw May 17 President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing met local elders, and MSME entrepreneurs from PyinOoLwin, Mandalay Region, at PyinOoLwin town hall this afternoon, and discussed regional development. Also present were union ministers, U Khin Maung Yi, U Mya Tun Oo, U Min Naung, U Myo Zaw Thein, U Hsan Oo and U Myo Thant, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Region Hluttaw speaker, the Central Command commander, region ministers, region, district and township level departmental personnel, and officials. Presentations on regional development undertakings, requirements and matters relating to regional development The PyinOoLwin District Management and Administration Committee Chairman presented local points, progress in implementing the directives on town water supply, rural development, tourism promotion and greening given by the Head of State during his visit to PyinOoLwin, cultivation of main crops and targeted crops, achievement in livestock breeding, local food sufficiency, loans provided for MSMEs from national economic development funds, endeavours for MSME development, coffee cultivation and export, education development undertakings, MSME businesses in the district, turning PyinOoLwin into a coffee city and health city, health and education promotion, ongoing rural development undertakings in PyinOoLwin, planned undertakings for socio-economic development of the local within the first 100-day period of the current government. Local elders and MSME entrepreneurs said local people express gratitude for the President for his continuous efforts for socio-economic development of the people of PyinOoLwin area. They reported on launching of annual tree plan-ting ceremonies with greater momentum for environmental conservation in accord with the guidance of the Head of State and extension of the activity till reaching village-tracts and sub-villages, production of coffee and wine under the one village one product program in PyinOoLwin and the need to acquire quality strains, the gratitude expressed by the town people for halting floods in PyinOoLwin after repairing the Gaelaung creek, milk, cream and butter production in PyinOoLwin and the need to import machinery required for further improving the quality of the products. They then asked per-mission to import advanced machinery for coffee industry as coffee sown acreage is in-creasing and more loans from national economic development funds, more land for coffee factories for facilitation of coffee industry, and expressed thanks for disbursing soft loans from national economic development funds. Clarifications by union ministers and chief minister In response, the union ministers explained State’s endeavours for public transportation development, efforts to resume Zeebingyi-PyinOoLwin-Kyaukme railroad and operation of Gokteik sightseeing train ride to promote tourism, upgrading of Anisakhan airport, a meeting with farmers and fulfil their needs for progress of damson cultivation and production, procedures for fulfilling the needs to set up coffee zones and to provide machinery, efforts to develop coffee sown acreage and production in Myanmar alongside the increase in coffee consumption, the need to conduct farming activities in accord with the set rules, endeavours for socio-economic development of rural people through cooperative farming system for progress of rural agriculture, live-stock and economy, environ-mental conservation in the entire country and forest plantation and protection in PyinOoLwin area, provision of loans in accord with the rules for MSME development. The chief minister gave a supplementary clarification, saying that the region government will look into the requirements in accord with the policies adopted by the government. President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing attends opening of five upgraded major roads in Ward 8 and Ward 10 of Padetha Myothit in PyinOoLwin Nay Pyi Taw May 17 A ceremony to inaugurate five major upgraded roads namely Nawarat, Theingi, Pyithaya, Yadana and Marlar Yuzana completed under the 100-day plan of the new government in Ward 8 and Ward 10 in Padetha Myothit of PyinOoLwin in Mandalay Region was held on Theingi Road this morning, attended by President of the Re-public of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing. The ceremony was also attended by Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Mya Tun Oo, U Min Naung, U Myo Zaw Thein, U Hsan Oo and U Myo Thant, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Central Command, the Speaker of the Region Hluttaw, the Chief Justice, the deputy speaker of the Region Hluttaw, Regional ministers, departmental officials and local people. On arrival at the venue for the ceremony, the President and party were warmly welcomed by traditional ethnic dance troupes and residents. The Region Chief Minister reported on the upgrade of the roads. Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Mya Tun Oo and U Min Naung and the Region Chief Minister cut the ribbon to inaugurate the road. The President unveiled the stone plaque to mark the inauguration of five major roads in Ward 8 and Ward 10 of Padetha satellite town of PyinOoLwin and sprinkled scented water on it. Union ministers and attendees also sprinkled scented water on the plaque. The President and party had documentary photos taken in commemoration of the inauguration of the five major ugraded roads. The President and party strolled along already-opened Theingi Road and cordially greeted departmental personnel and residents. The President and party inspected these five roads by car. As PyinOoLwin is a peaceful and beautiful hill station where local and foreign travellers visit, overall sectors of the town are being upgarded in accord with the guidance of the President to expand urban development tasks meeting the international standard. today, five major upgraded roads namely Nawarat, Theingi, Pyithaya, Yadana and Marlar Yuzana roads opened in Ward 8 and Ward 10 of Padetha satellite town of PyinOoLwin under the 100-day plan of the new government had been constructed since the establishment of Padetha satellite town. Although these roads were originally built as two-lane roads, they were not adequate for two vehicles to pass each other. Hence, five roads in 32,813 feet in total length were upgraded to the 24 feet wide ones. In accord with the motto that all towns and villages must be modernized as quickly as possible, the PyinOoLwin Township Development Committee is carrying out the upgrade of urban roads meeting the town characteriatics under the instructions of superiors. From 2021 to 2026, the committee upgraded 16 asphalt roads in 12 miles and four furlongs in total length. It is reported that, in line with the guidance and instructions of the President, comprehensive urban development and expansion projects are being implemented to upgrade PyinOoLwin into an internationally standardized city, and local residents of PyinOoLwin are greatly proud, delighted, and grateful for these efforts.

မြန်မာ့ဂုဏ် သတင်းမီဒီယာ: ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတ ဦးမင်းအောင်လှိုင် ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး ၈ နှင့် ၁၀ ရှိ အဓိကလမ်းမကြီး (၅) လမ်းအား အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခြင်းအခမ်းအနားသို့ တက်ရောက်ချီးမြှင့် မေ ၁၆ နိုင်ငံတော်အစိုးရသစ်၏ ရက် (၁၀၀) စီမံချက်ဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီးစီးခဲ့သော မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး ၈ နှင့် ၁၀ ရှိ အဓိကလမ်းမကြီးများဖြစ်ကြသည့် နဝရတ်လမ်း၊ သိင်္ဂီလမ်း၊ ပြည်သာယာလမ်း၊ ရတနာလမ်း၊ မာလာယုဇနလမ်း စသည့်လမ်း (၅) လမ်းအား အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခြင်း အခမ်းအနားကို ယနေ့နံနက်ပိုင်းတွင် သိင်္ဂီလမ်း၌ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ရာ ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတ ဦးမင်းအောင်လှိုင် တက်ရောက်ချီးမြှင့်ဖွင့်လှစ်ပေးပါတယ်။ အဆိုပါ အခမ်းအနားသို့ နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတနှင့်အတူ ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးများဖြစ်ကြသည့် ဦးခင်မောင်ရီ၊ ဦးမြထွန်းဦး၊ ဦးမင်းနောင်၊ ဦးမျိုးဇော်သိမ်း၊ ဦးဆန်းဦးနှင့် ဦးမျိုးသန့်၊ မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးဝန်ကြီးချုပ် ဦးမျိုးအောင်၊ ကာကွယ်ရေးဦးစီးချုပ်ရုံးမှ အဆင့်မြင့်တပ်မတော်အရာရှိကြီးများ၊ အလယ်ပိုင်းတိုင်းစစ်ဌာနချုပ် တိုင်းမှူး၊ တိုင်းဒေသကြီးလွှတ်တော်ဥက္ကဋ္ဌ၊ တရားသူကြီးချုပ်၊ တိုင်းဒေသကြီးလွှတ်တော် ဒုတိယဥက္ကဋ္ဌ၊ တိုင်းဒေသကြီးအစိုးရအဖွဲ့ဝင်ဝန်ကြီးများ၊ ဌာနဆိုင်ရာတာဝန်ရှိသူများနှင့် ဒေသခံပြည်သူများ စည်ကားသိုက်မြိုက်စွာတက်ရောက်ကြပါတယ်။ ဦးစွာ နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတနှင့်အဖွဲ့ဝင်များသည် အခမ်းအနားကျင်းပပြုလုပ်မည့် နေရာသို့ရောက်ရှိကြရာ တိုင်းရင်းသားရိုးရာအကအလှအဖွဲ့များနှင့် ဒေသခံပြည်သူများက လှိုက်လှဲနွေးထွေးစွာ ကြိုဆိုနှုတ်ဆက်ကြပါတယ်။ ထို့နောက် အခမ်းအနားကို စတင်ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ရာ မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးဝန်ကြီးချုပ် ဦးမျိုးအောင်က လမ်းအဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ခြင်းနှင့်စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ရှင်းလင်းတင်ပြပါတယ်။ ယင်းနောက် ဖွင့်ပွဲအခမ်းအနားကို ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးများဖြစ်ကြသည့် ဦးခင်မောင်ရီ၊ ဦးမြထွန်းဦး၊ ဦးမင်းနောင်နှင့် မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးဝန်ကြီးချုပ် ဦးမျိုးအောင်တို့က ဖဲကြိုးဖြတ်ဖွင့်လှစ်ပေးကြပါတယ်။ ထို့နောက် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတက နိုင်ငံတော်အစိုးရသစ်၏ ရက် (၁၀၀) စီမံချက်ဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီးစီးခဲ့သော မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး ၈ နှင့် ၁၀ ရှိ အဓိက လမ်းမကြီး (၅) လမ်းအား အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခြင်း အထိမ်းအမှတ် ကမ္ပည်းမော်ကွန်းအား စက်ခလုတ်နှိပ်၍ဖွင့်လှစ်ပေးပြီး အမွှေးနံ့သာရည်များ ပက်ဖျန်းပေးပါတယ်။ ယင်းနောက် ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးများနှင့် အခမ်းအနားတက်ရောက်လာကြသူများက ကမ္ပည်းမော်ကွန်းအား အမွှေးနံ့သာရည်များ ပက်ဖျန်းပေးကြပါတယ်။ ထို့နောက် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတနှင့်အဖွဲ့ဝင်များသည် ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး ၈ နှင့် ၁၀ ရှိ အဓိကလမ်းမကြီး (၅) လမ်းအား အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခြင်းအထိမ်းအမှတ် အမှတ်တရစုပေါင်း မှတ်တမ်းတင်ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်ကြပါတယ်။ ယင်းနောက် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတနှင့် အဖွဲ့ဝင်များသည် အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပြီးဖြစ်သည့် သိင်္ဂီလမ်းတစ်လျှောက် လှည့်လည်ကြည့်ရှုစစ်ဆေးခဲ့ပြီး တက်ရောက်လာကြသည့် ဌာနဆိုင်ရာဝန်ထမ်းများနှင့် ဒေသခံပြည်သူများအား ရင်းရင်းနှီးနှီးနှုတ်ဆက်ပါတယ်။ ထို့နောက် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတနှင့်အဖွဲ့ဝင်များသည် အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပြီးဖြစ်သည့် ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး ၈ နှင့် ၁၀ ရှိ အဓိကလမ်းမကြီး (၅) လမ်းအား မော်တော်ယာဉ်များဖြင့် လှည့်လည်ကြည့်ရှုစစ်ဆေးခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့သည် အေးချမ်းသာယာသည့် တောင်ပေါ်မြို့ဖြစ်သည့်အပြင် ပြည်တွင်း၊ ပြည်ပ ခရီးသွားများ လာရောက်လည်ပတ်သည့် ခရီးသွားမြို့တော်ဖြစ်သည့်အတွက် နိုင်ငံတကာအဆင့်မီသော မြို့ပြဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများ တိုးချဲ့ဆောင်ရွက်သွားရန် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတ၏လမ်းညွှန်ချက်နှင့်အညီ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့အား အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ခြင်းများကို ဘက်ပေါင်းစုံမှ ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း၊ ယနေ့တွင် နိုင်ငံတော်အစိုးရသစ်၏ ရက် (၁၀၀) စီမံချက်ဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီးစီးခဲ့ပြီး အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဖွင့်လှစ်လိုက်သည့် ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့၊ ပဒေသာမြို့သစ်၊ ရပ်ကွက်ကြီး (၈) နှင့် (၁၀) ရှိ အဓိကလမ်းမကြီးများဖြစ်ကြသည့် နဝရတ်လမ်း၊ သိင်္ဂီလမ်း၊ ပြည်သာယာလမ်း၊ ရတနာလမ်း၊ မာလာယုဇနလမ်းတို့သည် ပဒေသာမြို့သစ် စတင်အကောင်အထည်ဖော်စဉ်ကတည်းကပင်တည်ရှိခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး မူလလမ်းအကျယ် (၂) လမ်းသွားဖြစ်သော်လည်း ကား (၂) စီး တိမ်းရှောင်ရန်လုံလောက်သည့် အခြေအနေတွင်မရှိသောကြောင့် လမ်း (၅) လမ်း၏ စုစုပေါင်းအရှည် (၃၂၈၁၃) ပေအား အကျယ် (၂၄) ပေအထိ လမ်းအဆင့်မြှင့်တင် တိုးချဲ့ခြင်းလုပ်ငန်းများကို ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့နယ် စည်ပင်သာယာရေးအဖွဲ့အနေဖြင့် မြို့ရွာများ အမြန်ခေတ်မီဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရမည်ဟူသည့် ဆောင်ပုဒ်နှင့်အညီ မြို့တွင်းလမ်းများအား အဆင့်မြှင်တင်ခြင်းလုပ်ငန်းများကို မြို့အင်္ဂါရပ်နှင့်အညီဖြစ်စေရေး အထက်အကြီးအကဲများ၏ လမ်းညွှန်ချက်များနှင့်အညီ
