we seek individuality so hard yet we’re so afraid of standing out in case we become cringe so we just copy each other within the vessel of trying to be cool and never stop to take a look at ourselves and wonder why are we so not happy and so not satisfied with the way we are no matter how hard we try to appear appealing and unique and niche like it’s what defines our worth

it’s more of their subconscious telling them that as long as they are unique means they’re better, while those people become more judgmental and more hateful towards things that seem too “cringe” and too “popular”

People these days tend to treat liking popular things like it’s a lack of taste or a failure “i don’t like this show/song/artist because it’s too popular” well maybe it’s popular because it’s actually good have we considered that?
