просто непонятно как универсально порешать, т.к. конечно можно сканкоды покидать по дефолту в конфиг но они могут быть разные на разных клавах у людей. чел там в issue на гитхабе так и говорит мол пусть нам система отдает верные коды и все будет ок не наша проблема типа.

Как вариант, можно по аналогии с postregresql сделать. Они держат полностью упакованные всеми нужными либами версии приложения (вместе с бинарниками) в /usr/lib, а дальше сделать враппер-запускатор со всякими LD_PRELOAD'ами, если не хочется сборочный скрипт менять niri на использование других либ. Ещё краем уха слышал, что есть какой-то православный юниксвей метод держать разные версии либ, даже таких, как libc, в дереве, но сам с этим не сталкивался.

Лучше сохранить данные и поставить с нуля. Слишком много изменений. Переход на третью версию постараюсь сделать более бесшовным
