The higher the IELTS score, the better the teacher.
Because a teacher with a higher IELTS score can deliver more accurate information about the test, informing students about what works and what doesn't. That actually saves students a lot of money, time, and trouble. I don't see the other way around.
For me, conveying the most reliable message is far more important than forcing yourself as a teacher to adjust your lessons to everybody because that's literally impossible π Students judge you based on their own expectations of you, not how hard you are trying to be everyone's cup of tea.
Ask any IELTS instructor with a high IELTS score how much they suffer while undoing the damage the previous teacher of their students did to them. Only then will you understand why getting a higher IELTS score is good for your students, too. Not just for your own credibility.
