A friend of mine started his channel today, and honestly, I just wanna say how proud I am of him Me and Abdu used to work together during our internship. Today’s prompt engineering lesson I learned that advanced prompting is basically designing how the AI thinks. Main concepts: - Few-shot prompting → give examples so AI follows patterns - Chain-of-thought → force step-by-step reasoning instead of random answers - Role prompting → “act as a senior backend engineer” changes the depth and perspective (most of us use this ig) - Multi-step prompting → split work into: Plan Execute Refine Big realization: LLMs are pattern machines. The clearer the structure and reasoning flow, the better the output. Prompt engineering is starting to feel less like chatting with AI and more like programming intelligence The more understanding you have about what you’re building, the better you can explain it, structure it, and guide the AI. And the clearer your direction is, the better the output becomes. I read something along the lines of "The water doesn't get warm just because you jumped in late." and I thought about all the moments of hesitation and the pep talks I gave myself throughout the years. The time I spent readjusting, overthinking... procrastinating, maybe if I added them together, they would make up a year. A year spent, lost making myself believe i can, instead of simply doing. As a kid, I loved the water. Cold was shock, hot was pain, but still, I loved it nonetheless. Then I discovered drowning and fear. I rehearse how I would swim just in case I might drown. I swam a hundred times without ever touching the water. I keep telling myself, "I'm just thinking," over thinking as if a thought alone could bend time. I plan every scenario, versions of myself I never met, then I call it preparation. And on top of that, it's cold. My fear settles in, whispering, "Is it a must for you to swim?" This is not about public pools and water for those who understand. Its about the way my hesitation became my ocean; an ocean so vast, i swam to its depth. I became great at overanalyzing everything but doing none. And maybe that’s the cruelest trick of all , I trained myself to swim in imagined waters rehearsed every stroke, every breath but never touched the surface. The ocean I built was not made of waves but of delays, not salt but doubt. I drowned in the versions of myself I never let live.
