Your kids didn’t a get a vote. They didn't choose a dad who gasses out playing in the yard or can't carry them up the stairs. They just got whatever version of you showed up, and that version is a choice you make every day.

Being lazy and out of shape is disrespectful to the people that depend on you. It is the selfish behavior of a weak man.

Imagine a dietitian who was morbidly obese, a language teacher who was illiterate, or a financial advisor who was bankrupt. Practically every psychologist is the equivalent of that. You'd be better off taking advice from a random person you bumped into on the street.

The first time ordinary English people could afford to eat meat, Parliament passed a law to stop them. In 1256 the harvest workers on one Norfolk manor were fed a diet that was 4% meat by value. Most of the rest was bread. The deer belonged to the king, the rabbits to the lord, and the peasant to the pottage. Then the Black Death killed half the country. Suddenly there were more fields than hands. The survivors could name their price, and they named it in beef. 1351: wages are frozen by law at their level before the plague. Asking for more is a crime, and every village is ordered to build a set of stocks for those who do. 1361: a labourer who leaves his lord for better pay is to be branded on the forehead with an F, for falsehood. 1363: a statute lays down what a servant may eat. Meat or fish once a day and no more. It held for 30 years. In June 1381 the ploughmen marched on London, took the Tower, and beheaded the Archbishop of Canterbury. Wat Tyler put their demands to the king in person. An end to serfdom. And every park, warren, river and wood in England thrown open, so that a poor man might take game the same as a rich one. At St Albans the rebels walked into the abbot's private warren, caught a rabbit, and tied it to the town pillory, as notice that the game was now theirs. Tyler was stabbed at the meeting. The king, who was 14, took back every promise. Villeins you are, he told them, and villeins you shall remain. 9 years later came the reply to the rabbit. 1390: nobody worth under 40 shillings a year may keep a hunting dog, a ferret or a net, on pain of a year in prison. Parliament wrote its reasoning into the preamble. Labourers had been seen out hunting on holy days like gentlemen, and were using the hunts as cover to meet and plot another rising. There were plenty of deer. What could not be tolerated was a ploughman with a haunch of venison, because a man who can feed himself can afford to say no. The laws failed. Hands were too scarce, and by 1424 that same Norfolk manor was feeding its harvesters 28% meat. The instinct behind the laws has never failed once. Whenever the poor get their hands on meat, somebody important discovers a reason they should not have it. The king's pleasure. The social order. Their cholesterol. The climate. The reason is replaced every century. The people giving it have never once missed a steak.

If you want to understand what’s behind all the turmoil in Australia right now then you need to understand the story. Every society has a story it tells its citizens, it’s how you get everyone more or less on the same page to achieve a certain outcome. The story is told by the schools, Hollywood, the government and every institution that matters. Since the Second World War the story has been the same and it’s the only one you’re supposed to believe. Your participation in society is actually conditional upon your willingness to believe it. If you want to bank, trade and stay out of trouble then you had better retell the story and not think too much about it. Like all stories crafted for the masses it has a simple good vs evil dynamic; something to strive for and something to hate. In the story we’ve been told, racial-equality is good and Nazi racists are bad; Multiculturalism is the goal and ethnic nationalism should be destroyed. But there’s a problem. The story is bullshit. Adherence to the story is degrading us and everything we care about. If you believe your lying eyes, the closer the story brings us to its logical conclusion the worse our conditions become, to the point where even those ‘racist Nazis’ can start making a lot of sense. Obviously, if we want peace then the story needs to change. We need a new story more in line with the reality of things and this needs to happen in spite of all the kicking and screaming that’s bound to take place in the process. But the real problem we face is the old story isn’t just a mistake, it’s a plan.

It is highly significant that two words terrify polite society today: radical and fundamentalist. You can be on the right, but not on the radical right. You can be a Christian, but not a fundamentalist Christian.   The two words mean the same thing. Radical comes from Latin radix, meaning “root.” Fundamentalist comes from Latin fundus, meaning “bottom.” The worst thing today is having unshakable conviction all the way down.   The implication is that you can be what you want, as long as you don’t take it seriously—as long as you’re not consistent about it. If you’re a gap year communist, that’s fine. It’s when you become Lenin that you’re looking at jail. You can believe in hierarchy and tradition. But when you start actually restoring settlements earlier than liberal modernity, you’re in trouble.   At a deeper level, modernity is terrified of downward-oriented things. If you have roots, or if you are a foundationalist, that’s not OK. Where this is leading is that liberalism simply cannot brook anything that is not itself. Any worldview whose foundations lie outside liberal modernity, any worldview that is not an outgrowth of it, is The Greatest Evil in History, and no stone can be left unturned in eradicating its existence.   The cardinal sin of modernity is having a space that is not for all. The fundamentalist and the radical create that space. So they must be destroyed. —Mike

September 11th…. Never forget what firemen said on that day, and what the US Govt and Media have tried to erase….9/11 @Nationalist13

Joel Davis made a very good point in his speech. Extremism is attempting to advance political objectives or positions OUTSIDE of the democratic framework, ie by acts of violence, terrorism or couping the government, etc. Ideas and ideologies pursued via democratic means, such as votes from the public, utilising public protest, print media, etc. are part of the liberal democratic process. The Labor government abolishing these principles and practises of democracy, for one side of politics - makes them the extremists. They are the ones going outside the mediums of democracy to consolidate and retain power, and avoid the contest of ideas that democracy allows for.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” ~Cicero
