| 3 | In his Muṣannaf, ʿAbdurrazzāq reported that the ground in the grave of Allah's Messenger ﷺ was covered with a piece of cloth that he used during his life.
ʿAbdurrazzāq was subsequently asked, "Shall not the people do likewise?" He replied, "No, Allah's Messenger ﷺ is unlike anyone else." | 211 |

| 5 | Unfortunately, this person ALTERED the text of the original Tweet in his so-called “direct copy and paste”. In the ORIGINAL Tweet, he clearly used the incorrect word “al-Murba’” twice.
In the so-called “direct copy and paste”, he has altered it to al-Rawd al-Murbiʿ.
Compare the two images and see for yourself.
I did not know lying was so easy.
Spelling and transliteration mistakes are a sign of sloppiness. But the bigger issue is covering up your mistakes and make it sound like you are the victim.
Let it be known that this individual, who teaches hadith in more than one seminary, has no problem altering his own past words and deflecting blame on others.
Honesty is pivotal, especially if you are teaching hadith. | 168 |
| 6 | When Doubling Down Leads to Lying
A few days ago, I raised concerns about an individual being unable to correctly spell the name of book titles, such as al-Rawd al-Murbi’, on their Twitter/X page (original Tweet is attached on Image 1). Instead of writing the name correctly, the person wrote it as “Rawd al-Murba” or “al-Rawd al-Murba’”, failing to realize that the second word of the title is an ism fa’il (active participle).
The individual responded in a post, claiming that I had misrepresented him. To prove this, he provided a “direct copy and paste” of the Post’s text (Image 2), demonstrating that he, after all, had actually written it as Rawd al-Murbiʿ. The only mistake he made was not make the two words agree in definiteness, so no big deal.
Problem solved? No.
Look at the text of the two pictures and compare them. What do you see? | 159 |

| 10 | I do not intend for this post to be an attack against a specific school, but more as a repudiation of a common mentality and talking point that has pervaded many people’s theological perceptions:
With enough time and geographic spread, almost every theological school, whether orthodox or heretical, will have its fair share of erudite and pious scholars who contribute to the Ummah’s intellectual tradition. This applies to Ahl al-Hadith, Ash’aris, Maturidis, Mutazilites, and even some Shi’ite sects.
Every school eventually produces genius polymaths, and every school will have its share of worshippers who spend the days fasting and the nights in prayer. Likewise almost every school: Ahl al-Hadith, the Ash’aris, the Maturidis, the Mutazilites, and the Zaydis, penned works defending Islam from non-Islamic and heretical polemics.
The challenge is that some people’s perception of history in this context is quite limited, so they limit this attitude to specific schools, though it should be extended to many others. | 235 |

| 12 | "Rawd al-Murba''" (sic) [1]
"Al Zaad al-Mustaqni" (sic) [2]
We have people speaking as authorities in matters of 'ilm, but they cannot even get the title of the book they are teaching or speaking about right.
How can we trust them when they teach the contents of the book?
[1] Correct title name: al-Rawd al-Murbi'
[2] Correct title name: Zad al-Mustaqni' | 187 |

| 16 | "The people who are able to say the Shahadah at the point of death are very few. Perhaps I mentioned previously a story, and there is nothing to prevent one from mentioning it again, since it is an exhortation.
I asked a noble doctor who works at a university hospital: How many people have you witnessed at their deathbed [in your work experience]? He mentioned a number that was close to 1700. I said: Of those 1700, how many of them did you see utter the Shahadah [before dying]? He said: Four or five.
La ilaha illallah! La ilaha illallah! This is because - and we ask from Allah well-being ('afiyah), a good end, and being able to say it at the end of life - many people are busy with their world, don't take these things seriously, and hope to keep living even at that point, and fear that if they say it at that stage they will die, so they refrain from saying it.
And perhaps many of them were heedless of this during their lives, so they are not given tawfiq [facilitation] to say it. One is not facilitated in saying it in this place unless one who constantly says it, remembers it, and bears it in their mind at all times; this is the one who remembers it and says it ...
Then later on I re-examined this issue with the doctor. He said: the number of deaths [from the original 1700] have now increased. I asked: what about the number of people who say the Shahadah? He said: They did not increase. La ilaha illallah!
I said to him: Brother, what do they say to you [when dying]? He stayed silent for a while, and then said: Some of them say insults, some of them curse, and some of them say the most disgusting of words. We ask Allah for our 'afiyah and salamah.
For this reason, let a person accustom his tongue in saying the kalimah at all times, for it is not an easy thing to say at all [at the point of death]."

| 18 | Imam Malik reported in the Muwatta’ that ‘Umar Ibn al-Khattab said, “Beware of debt, for it begins with distress and concluded with war.”
